I kept on trying to think of who Torres reminded me of and with his frame and arm you just think about NFL type of guys (Josh Freeman, Josh Allen, Joe Flacco, Brock Osweiler, Jason Campbell, etc.). Watching his highlights again I was reminded of this video I watched about Buffalo's Tyree Jackson. His ceiling is in the NFL, it's just a matter of getting in the right situation and him being receptive to the coaching.

Reminds me of Ryan Mallett lol

Came across this bit while looking up info on Nadab. Gone from Georgia's 2018 #1 Nationally ranked recruiting class:

5 star QB Justin Fields (transferred to OSU)
5 star OT Cade Mays (transferrred to Tennessee)
5 star DE Brenton Cox (transferred to UF)
4 star TE Luke Ford (tranferred to Illinois)
4 star S Otis Reese (transferred to Ole Miss)
4 star CB Divaad Wilson (tranfer portal)
4 star CB Nadab Joseph (JUCO)

Something to think about if you ever feel like we lose a lot of top-ranked guys...

And they’re still going to be ranked in the top 4 next preseason.

In short, Nebraska isn't wasting there time trying to land this kid.

Visited Missouri, Auburn and Georgia Tech the last few days.

I'd only be frustrated if we were not in on some damn good TE's across the country. Since we are in the final groups for a handful of really good TE's, Riley going to college in some other state isn't going to matter in the end.

    Good! Bye.

I just hope those 2 can play. I dont want slow guys on the field just because they are 6-7. If Jackson will make more plays I would rather have him.

That’s not how DE in a 3-4 works. They’re out there to mostly eat up blocks and have the LB’s clean up. The longer wingspan helps fill the gaps better

Nebraska has almost zero chance here. He is an OLB. He was told we want him to play ILB or bulk up to DE, that eliminated Huskers. We won’t make his top 4.

DE? You have absolutely zero idea what you’re talking about. In it system he’s either a MLB or a field OLB. Do you think he compares to Weaver or Buckey , who we just signed for DE? They’re 6-7 and 6-8 respectively.

Is he related to the late Robert Pollard? Robert was a 5 star commit to the Huskers I believe in 95. Never made it to Nebraska and went JUCO I believe. Had a bad drug problem and recently passed away. Was one of the best players ever out of northern Florida

Also had a mismatch in sheer player size. Cameron Meredith (maybe 280 soaking wet) was forced into a DT spot in that championship game due to some injuries as I recall. I remember watching that game thinking the Wisconsin O-line had dudes that were just simply more wide and bulky than anyone on our defensive line. It was then that I realized that we needed to get some guys that were bigger if we were to hold our own in the league.

Thankfully, Bo and his staff had figured that out as well. As he adjusted to the Big Ten, they started recruiting bigger guys who more closely matched what the conference demanded. Vincent Valentine & Maliek Collins redshirted that year and there was debate of whether to burn the redshirt or not that late in the year. Thankfully for those players’ careers, they kept the shirts on but those two could have definitely helped take up some space in that title game. Would have been nice to have the new redshirt rule (up to four games) back then and it would not have been as embarrassing I think.

Should’ve played Collins and Valentine.  They both left after their junior seasons!

It's far from "likely" that nobody else returns.  There are a few guys that missed significant portions of their career, like Jojo, who could really improve their draft stock with another solid season.

JoJo is probably one of the least likely to return
