have to agree with ny polo here. he is asking reasonable questions to which the answers come off as attacks. and like he said he has seen it every since 2005. I used to drinkbthe kool aid too. even halfway through this year... but every year it's the same pelini squad with new excuses. how many more years is 4 losses going to he acceptable?

My brother thinks that this is all due to marijuana use among college athletes. He has some statistics to back up his theory, but the bottom line is that (he thinks) more and more kids are smoking the chronic and this leads to a lack of emotion and just an overall lack of interest in anything. Lethargy.

 

His theory last year was that our defense was drunk and drinking, especially the night before the Wisconsin game. They played like they were all hungover. I can't imagine playing hungover. It makes me want to throw up just thinking about it.

 

So that's his thought.

I agree. The talent is there. Lots of it. Young guys and inexperienced. Just need game reps and each week should be an improvement. Play fast and physical, react without over thinking.

A team doesn't win 9 or more games each year of a coaching tenure if things are seriously dysfunctional.

 

I respectfully disagree. It's possible that the dysfunction only shows up at certain times, such as when they're matched up against a superior staff and challenged to make adjustments on the fly. That's when the dysfunctional nature of this staff becomes apparent. And it's a recurring theme during the blowouts. It was also on full display on Saturday.

i found one that had a rap that was done to the locker room prayer...does anyone know why performs that?

 

Question for the board on this: I am a Christian so I naturally I think it's pretty cool that they do "the prayer" before games... but I realize a lot of people do not share the same faith and could even be offended by the fact that the team does this at a public institution. I know Ameer Abdullah is a devout Muslim and he loves the prayer they do. But I would like to hear the thoughts of you guys who may not be "prayers" so to speak. Just curious... thanks!

 

I'm not what you would consider a "prayer" but it doesn't really bother me. If you take out the "Dear Lord" at the beginning, it just becomes a mantra to get better, be a good sport, and kick some ass on gameday

Do we know Moore is playing for sure? I haven't heard any recent reason why he wouldn't, but it made me nervous that he hadn't been in pads consistently a while back
