  1. If McKewon is right about the QB not being in the transfer portal yet, I’d love to see Brennan Armstrong from Virginia. Could be waiting to see who they hire to decide if he wants to transfer or I could just be getting my hopes up. :dunno

    WHAT!

I had seen something about it a week or so ago but I can’t remember where and I’m gonna sound like one of those lame people who have “sources” but I’m close with someone who knows him personally and they said that’s the talk they’ve heard. Didn’t want to say it’s a forsure so i thought I’d ask if anyone else had heard anything. I can explain it in more detail if needed.

Just posted his name as well, in addition to some others.  He fits the bill.  Clawson and he came to Wake Dec 2013....I am not sure about hundreds of records, but he has turned the program around.

Haha yea I was a little skeptical on the hundreds portion but just copied what wiki had. I will say I’m sure there will be a fair share of fans who aren’t happy that Wake Forest’s two best passing seasons of all time have came in the past 4 years under Ruggiero. But seems to be they are pretty balanced play calling wise and might even lean more to runs throughout the season.

Sorry, my bad.  He doesn't say that.  Where the hell did I get that from?

Haha all good! I have seen a lot of stuff about Brent Davis from Army coaching OL and OC so maybe that’s what you were thinking of

    Doesn't coach O line.

Unless the actual quote from the podcast says OL coach, the post says longtime successful offensive coordinator so I was referring to that part of it! If I’m wrong my bad :)

if this is referring to Morris, I think my time as a fan is over

IMO I think this screams Warren Ruggiero from Wake Forrest. Wiki says they have set hundreds of record under his offense since 2014 so it fits the description.

I don't think less than 10 will happen but that would hot seat him for sure.

I think he will be around 14-16 wins.

I am not sure on eligibility but if the older brother is gone, so is Bryce.

Hard for me to think we get to 14 this year. Unless the B1G is down this year, it’s gonna be a rough 2022. Especially with the news the Trey is out for awhile. Hope they get it figured out.

  8. Thinking somewhere in the 56-28 area with Oklahoma winning. Think we score a late touchdown to get it under the 30 point mark. Really think the outcome of the game depends on which version of Rattler shows up. Turnover prone/Freshman mistake Rattler? We have a chance. Heisman candidate Rattler? Over by halftime.

I have heard this on several occasions lately from sperate parties that are more in the know if the program. I'm no insider, but this seems like a bigger issues for the team/Scotts future than the BS analysts thing. Could be bad news if true.

Yea I looked into it to see if it was true and I had a coworker who heard the rumor as well. There’s also another forum that has some interesting takes on it. Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire but let’s hope not with these rumors.

It is always fun when you see Brett tweeting about your team. :bang

I saw some other rumors floating around but I just figure it is off season message board talk.

I had an old man come up to me at my local Hyvee the other day spewing off rumors about Frost and his wife and how the program was in trouble because I was wearing a Husker shirt and all I could do was nod in agreement so he’d finish and leave me alone

My bad, I dunno why I was thinking Treadwell.  Tre’quan Smith.. My point stands, he’s developed receivers at every coaching destination. Also, has had more receivers drafted than previous coaches.

Ahhh gotcha. I agree though, he has had more receivers drafted than past Husker coaches but that’s not too difficult haha. My only thing is that it is kinda fishy that he doesn’t show up often on the recruiting trail. I’m not a big conspiracy guy so I can understand if there’s a legit reason behind it and not because he’s leaving or something like that. Adding someone like Manning makes me think we will get to see how good Walters truly is at his job over the next season or two.

Paul Richardson, Laquon Treadwell, Ryan Swope... 7 total 1000 receivers, two of which were each schools first ever.

Serious question, when was he around Laquon Treadwell? Treadwell played at Ole Miss in college and Walters was at Colorado that entire time.
