  1. I voted for 12-2 simply because USC, Texas (possibly twice) and a tough environment at A&M will probably produce one loss. Trust me I'm hoping for a sweep too, but at the same time trying to be realistic. IMO, the most important game will be USC. If we can win that one, the confidence level will be so high. If we lose, then maybe the Texas game will be a "must win" to continue with the goals set out.

  2. They have Lucky as the #10 best off. player. The way it sounds it should look like this:

    10t - Lucky

    10t - Gleen

    10t - Jackson

    10t - Wilson

But hey, what do I know?

I'm so ready for kickoff, it's killing me! :bang

  3. I would also like to be added in the mix for creating articles, pics, etc. As my handle indicates, I do live in Texas, but I will be at the A&M game and a potential bowl game. Plus it isn't too difficult to pick up most of the games on TV. Just fill me in on the details and I'll be happy to help out. :thumbs

  4. 95% sure I'll be there, looking for tickets now. I'm originally from Nebraksa, so these obviously are the only games I can see live now. Ain't so bad though when they have their bowl game in SA. :clap

  5. Thanks Ag, I was hoping you seen my post since you probably knew best. Even though I live in Texas, I still get to watch at least one game a year (last year Baylor and the Alamo Bowl, next year in Austin). :thumbs

Thanks again Ag, appreciate the help!

Don't see Bowman on there, but I'm sure he is on the bubble.

  7. Here is what the article said.......

Callahan brought one of his former bosses in during the spring to get a look at the offense and help fine-tune it. Tampa Bay head coach Jon Gruden, who preceded Callahan as head coach in Oakland, observed Taylor during the spring and was impressed.

"I've seen guys take major jumps in year two as a starter in this system,'' Gruden said. "I think his intelligence, his background, is really going to help him this year. I'm impressed.''

Gruden liked Taylor's demeanor and attitude as he ran the offense with confidence and precision during the spring.

"I saw him making all kinds of throws today -- moving to his right, moving to his left, from the shotgun, three-step drops,'' Gruden said. "I'm impressed with his toughness. He takes hits, he gets up, he keeps playing. He throws a friendly ball. I think the receivers have a lot of confidence in him. He's got a great command of this offense.''

  8. i had a dream last night...

... i was driving thru the desert in an open-top chevy with woody harlson and antonio banderas. we pull over to a quickshop when woody says he's hungry and wants to by some chips.

i go to an ATM and accidently withdraw $2000 dollars. that's way too much money and don't want to keep it with me. woody harlson says he'll keep my money safe, but antonio banderas says not to do it.

i ignore antonio and give woody the money.

a little later, as i'm leaving the store, banderas stops me and says, "i warned you, but you didin't listen."

i get out to the car and i figure out what banderas was talking about.

next to the car, is a horse and a six foot tall chicken.

that's right, woody harlson blew my hard earned cash on a horse and a six foot tall chicken!

i am madder than hell and i'm about to wake-up, and that's when woody says the words that will follow me to the grave...

"look, i know the horse was over the top," says woody harlson. "but, dude... it's a six foot tall chicken!"

    and then i woke-up.

what does this mean to nebraska football? probably nothing, just thought i'd share.

but i swear to sweet baby jesus, if i ever meet woody harlson... i am gonna punch him in the throat.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that had this dream..........

  9. Wow not sure becuase the defense had a bad game and trouble stopping the all-time total yardage QB in the NCAA. Dont let one bad game over shadow what this denfense has done this season. Also with the emergence of Peterson, that excites me! I see the defense coming out and dominating and the Huskers looking to run all day long mixed in with some screens and another great performence by Taylor. 38-13 Huskers beat Sooners

I totally agree here, good points huskerguy4. :thumbs We couldn't stop Missouri's Crouch(with an arm), most defenses can't. A week of practice and a boost of confidence will bring a victory this week. IMO OU's offense is showing signs of improvement but I still think the Blackshirts are in the top teirs of CF. Taylor only had one bad throw against MU (one of two INTs were tipped at the line for a jump ball) :bang . This guy gets a little better each week. If the O-line can get their chit together and pass block, it'll be a good game for us. Oh yeah, if the ball hits you in the chest, you probably should catch it, that always helps. :bang STAY AT HOME DEFENSE, as Samuel A. Jackson once said, "Assumption is the mother of all f**k ups." :smokin

  10. Classic pic of a MU fan in his Looney Tones gear, typing 87 wpm and bumping his gums trying to round up some WWE buddies to go to the game. Dude probably knows nothing about football, just wants to start some chit. :box

Beware of purple shirt bugs on Sat.

(Still can't believe Pujols jacked on out in the ninth last nite, sorry had to throw it in) :bang

  11. ehhh texas will win... mobile qb will kill the red raiders

Neither team (Tech or Horns) have a defense that can stop the other. The last team that scores wins this game. 52 - 49 Raiders (Hodges is the man right now, V. Young is a close second). :thumbs

  13. This is my first discussion board so, let me know if I violate any "unwritten" rules. My father in law and I sat behind a older couple from Dallas that actually went to high school with Dr. Tom in Hastings. The gentleman's father was "talked" into playing football at NU from a co-worker with the last name of Rudd. Yes I know, very weird, but still very cool.

I lived in Nebraska my entire life(4yrs Marine Corps the execption) and just moved down here about 2 years ago. This is the first NU game I've been able to attend since the move. I didn't realize how well we traveled and the nation wide fan base that existed before this game. Without trying to be too biased, NU fans are the one of classiest and it showed during the Baylor game. I would drop dead if Colorado fan stood up at a game in Lincoln to clap for guys like Shields or other quality pros like Ahman Green. Solid game, more of the same against the Tigers on Saturday.
