only 3 black female reporters have heard that since the acosta situation.   and trump doesn't know the difference between the baltics and the balkans so he has no room to be calling anyone stupid.

Trump knows how to win elections. That puts him one up on Clinton.

kk....let's say you are right about acosta...the alt right is pushing that agenda hard so not going to waste time arguing it with you.....but does that make trump calling all those black women stupid the right thing to do?   it seems that black women get called stupid a heck of a lot of times by this president.

Trump calls anyone who disagrees with him stupid. Where is the proof that has anything to do with gender or race?

how difficult is it to allow all the votes to be coun ted?  heck....i know they were still counting provisional ballots here in Nebraska.....but since the contests are close there is no call of cheating here.   maybe we need to not count the votes sent from our military men and women as there are still some of those coming in from overseas?

In Broward they apparently mixed a bunch of ineligible votes into a bunch of eligible ones. I also read someplace they ‘discovered’ a bunch of ‘lost’ votes.

the reporters haven't done that....some of the talking head commentators on tv have...as well as me i admit....but those pool reporters haven't that i recall.

Acosta uses his WH credentials to challenge Sanders or Trump, argue, pick fights, and generally grandstand. That’s why the rest of the WH press corps hates him. He’s a preening, grandstanding douchebag.

Reporters are there to report the news. Period. They should be like offensive linemen or referees...if they become the story, they’re doing the job wrong.

Do a little reading before you come in here and start arguing with strawmen, Ric.

The issue at hand is about him sitting on voter registrations and using a BS exact match rule to ensure only people he wants to get registered get registered until after election day when people were calling for him to step down from overseeing the election because of an obvious conflict of interest.

That's not democracy. It's rigging an election in your favor by abusing your power.

Do a little reading yourself Cliff. The issue is that Democrats want to fix elections by counting votes from ineligible voters...whether illegals, felons, dead people, whatever. It’s the same nonsense they’ve been engaged in for decades and are now attempting in Florida and Arizona.

If people are too stupid to obtain proper ID or register to vote correctly, I would honestly prefer they not vote.

I could just as easily say Brian Kemp is stealing the election in Georgia with his monumental, historic voter suppression tactics. Particularly of black voters.

I noticed you didn't really say sh#t about that.

I love the ‘logic’ where making sure people are eligible to vote, have proper ID, etc. is somehow “suppressing” the vote.

How difficult is it to get a driver’s license or photo ID? And do we really want people who struggle with such basic tasks to choose our leaders?

You have no idea how relaxed or otherwise I am, nor whether my state of relaxation or non relaxation is called for. Your comment was patronizing. I haven’t even answered the poll yet. It’s possible to make a post just to get a conversation going. I think democracy here is in danger over the long term due in part to Trump although it did not start with him.

This isn’t a “knee jerk” thread. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. Actually, I’ve been wondering about our democracy’s long-term survival since before Trump for other reasons. But he has shown so far that our checks and balances seem to be really weak and we’re setting really dangerous precedents for future leader(s). If you want to think it’s not a big deal that’s fine.

A big problem in our country now is people think we are invulnerable from the possibility of the subject of this topic happening. That is part of why many Republicans are willing to overlook what Trump is doing. They don’t think it’sa big deal and think it can’t get to the point I’m talking to, but things don’t collapse in an instant, they erode over time.

Yawn. Losing your mind over everything Trump does is a complete waste of time. Do it too often and Morning Joe might call to see if they can add you to their panel.

your saying this 60,000 times doesnt make it true. Just sayin. :bang

Then let’s see some evidence, Blasey Ford had none, told conflicting stories, and the witnesses she said were there denied that and said they had no idea what she was talking about. Ramirez didn’t remember if Kavanaugh was at the party or the person who exposed himself...and was callimg mutual friends just before she went public asking them whether they could remember, because she couldn’t. Swetnick is clearly insane and has severe psychological issues. Others who made accusations have admitting lying and never having even met Kavanaugh.

    So let’s see some evidence.

    Couple things:

    1. What are we actually going to learn from his returns? That he doesn't make as much money as he claims? That he does get money from Russians buying his properties? We already know this. If his tax returns are dirty then the IRS should have already flagged them and ran an investigation, which I don't believe they ever did.
    2. The Dems need to be extremely careful with how they handle their work as it relates to the office of the President. They need to use extreme discretion because they can very easily set precedents that will have negative long term implications for the country and the Office. See "the atomic option" in the Senate.

Agreed. If he's committed a crime, handle that appropriately. But if they're just used to try to embarrass him, that will blow up in Democrats' faces like an ACME rocket.

No different than a so called comedian holding a decapitated trump head, rapper pretending to assasinate Trump in music video, a Caesar play showing an actor dressed up as Trump getting ambushed and murdered, Madonna saying that she’s thought about blowing up the White House, Scalise getting shot and almost dying, assault a politician in his own yard, send powder in a letter to Trump Jr. I could keep going

Btw the douche who shot up the Synagogue wasn’t even a trump supporter lol

Lots of leftwing nuts out there.
