Republicans lose the House and you don’t see any protest, people screaming at the sky, rioting, harassing politicians, etc from Republicans

    Liberals on the other hand.....

    What a bunch of losers

    Spot on.

The GOP position on immigration is pretty tricky. They need the Hispanic votes to win, and wealthy Republican donors in certain industries are hugely reliant on illegal immigrant labor. Democrats need to be honest about the need for some coherent policy, and the aggressive deportation record under Obama that didn't seem to bother anybody at the time.

One of the main problems is that many Republicans see illegals as cheap labor, while many Democrats see illegals as future Democratic voters. So large segments of both camps have no real desire to do anything to fix the problem.

For someone who claims to have a law degree, you should know the difference between "proven false" and "not proven" and between "believe" and "proven". You claim that Kavanaugh's accusers have been "proven false", which means you have the burden of proving that statement. I suspect you can't do that and that you've once again confused your beliefs and opinions with "proof".

At least one has admitted lying and never meeting Kavanaugh. Swetnick is clearly disturbed. Ramirez was calling friends to ask if Brett was even at the party where she claimed he exposed himself. Blasey Ford contradicted herself numerous times and the witnesses she said were there said they had no idea what she was talking about.

So to the extent there is any evidence, it tends toward proving these allegations were a pack of lies.

I personally think it's shameful and embarrassing.

But the situation feels more like they're duping stupid and racist people into voting for them and they don't really care what the world thinks.

When did protecting the country’s borders from a foreign invasion become “shameful and embarrassing?”

And they are.  That is why Kavanaugh is sitting on the Supreme Court.  Ford told her story, Kavanaugh told his.  The Senate heard both and made a decision.

People act like Kavanaugh got a raw deal or something....

He was falsely accused of being a sexual predator and gang rapist. He had to defend himself against those false charges in front of his wife, parents, daughters, friend, colleagues, and the world. If that’s not a raw deal, what would be?

This is a pretty spot-on description of Washington's army (give or take a couple decimal points).

What do you have against the patriots who fought to free this country from tyranny?

My ancestors didn't speak English when they arrived in America. Did yours?

Washington's army was unskilled and couldn't speak English?

I can't wait to see some evidence of that.

Well obviously the latter because America does not have a national language. I know this was a rhetorical question by the way. Just pointing out to Ric that english is not our national language.

Learning English should be a requirement for legal entry. If someone wants to be an American, be gainfully employed, and participate in our society, he needs to speak English. If they're not willing or interested in doing so, they should be sent back to the sh****le countries from whence they came.

Seriously, we can't have a reasonable discussion about this topic when you resort to ridiculous, snarky extremes that aren't even close to anything anyone is arguing for.

Then explain to me what immigration laws Democrats are in favor of...or you are in favor of personally.

What people who want to come here are you willing to turn away?

What people who are here already are you willing to send home?

Leave one corrupt and dangerous country for another corrupt and dangerous country? Makes perfect sense.

Why don’t we just take in everyone from every corrupt and dangerous country in the world. When a couple of billion unskilled migrants who can’t even speak English show up here maybe they can stay in your basement,

it seems you are saying that since the 1 woman was a liar...all those accusers must have been lying unless i am reading "the dems knew kavanaugh was innocent" wrong.

I think Blasey Ford is likely just disturbed and mistaken. Ramirez couldn’t remember details of what happened and was calling friends to try to remember if Kavanaugh was even at the party. Swetnick seems to have some psychological issues and was plainly lying. Munro-Leighton’s claims were deranged and she has admitted that she was lying and has never even met Kavanaugh.

None of these claims were at all credible. The only question is whether they were innocent mistakes or knowing lies. In either case, Democlowns knew they were complete BS, but pursued them anyway, in an attempt to discredit a good man and deny him a spot on the Supreme Court.

This is every thread with you. You just show up complaining about how no one likes Trump. Guess what? He's the most unpopular first-term president in our lifetimes for a reason. Maybe he wouldn't be if he tried reaching out to anyone not already in his base instead of being a hostile dick to the rest of the country.

But to address the reason you rolled into this thread and started dousing it with your "independent thought" in the first place, yes, securing the border is something we should do. But secure it from what? A group of peaceful refugees seeking asylum? Is this what passes as a serious issue in the Republican party of today? They're so threatened by those in need reaching out a hand and asking America to help them that they blot out the sun to make it their number one midterm priority?

I cited a tweet elsewhere that Operation Faithful Patriot may be costing us up to $6M per day to deploy troops down there. I just saw that they were up deploying barbed wire around the border. To ward off a peaceful caravan of refugees almost a 1000 miles away on the southern tip of Mexico.

If you honestly think that's a threat that requires millions of dollars spent and thousands of troops deployed to our southern border, you're either a moron or a mindless partisan. I don't think you're the former, Ric. So how about you apply some of that famous independent thought and think about whether that's a wise use of resources.

    Oh, and screw Trump.

Actually, by some measures Trump has been more popular than Obama at. Arious pooints in his presidency.

    https://www.newsweek.com/trump-approval-rating-obama-higher-1054927

Are these peaceful refugees seeking asylum? How do you presume to know that? If all they wanted was to escape violence, why nit accept asylum offers from Mexico? The reason is simple...they want tk come to America, but don’t want to wait in line like everyone else. So they’ll try to game the system, claim asylum, and force their way in.

I think securing the border is a wonderful use of resources...far mie so than yet mire handouts to deadbeats, which will simply keep them dependent on government.

big jump from 1 potential liar to all women are liars.   and breitbart is as respectable as the national enquirer.  find a better source to link to.  not saying your info is bad...just your source.

Who said all women are liars? I certainly didn’t.

If you think the article is wrong, then argue the point. Attacking the source because you don’t like their politics is just dumb.

Maybe we can beat Iowa now. A month ago I thought that was a total pipe dream, but now I believe it.

I'd love nothing more than to play our best game of the season at the end and completely ruin theirs. And shut their fans up.

Let's go loot the beer fridge and then run it over with a bulldozer.

I hate Iowa. That would be awesome.

Do you realize with every post you make you are literally projecting all of your faults on to others whether or not your claims about them are true (and generally they are more false than George Washington's teeth)?  Your views are the amalgamation of false narratives being told by angry white men who are terified of anyone different than them.

Wrong again. Let’s see some evidence of people here posting their support of Trump.

Nobody disagrees with this. We're all old enough to remember the Duke rape case.  In fact, we've discussed it here many times.

    Please do. Thanks!

Yet everyone on the left has been shrieking about how women never lie and we must BELIEVE ALL SURVIVORS for months now.

I don’t think any of the clowns who decided Kavanaugh was guilty without evidence based on the argument that women never lie has been able to wrap their heads around the clear evidence that women have lied and do lie.

Check comments on tax cuts, engaging North Korea, timid comments about doing something with China's unfair trade, etc.

Please stop with the whataboutisms, everyone here see right through them and they only make you look even more foolish.

The liberal comments I have seen decry tax cuts as only benefiting the rich, engaging North Korea as stupid and something he’s unperpared for, and engaging China on trade as foolish and likely to hurt America.

You give posters here undeserved credit for posts they simply aren’t making. Disliking Trump but approving of some of the things he does is too complex a task for those blinded by Trump hatred.

Are we still pointing out all the women Bert Kavanaugh didn't rape?

No, we’re taking apart the nonsensical claim that all women who claim rape are survivors who must be believed...because women never lie about being raped.

I thought that was self-explanatory. I can use smaller words if that would be helpful.
