  2. Player: Justin Mackovicka Hometown: Branard, NE Position: FB Height: 6’1” Weight: 230 40 time: 4.8 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Iowa St. (Grey shirt) Favorites: Signed with Nebraska Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Bid Red Report: NR/ Assessing the talent: Justin Makovicka, who rushed for 1,582 yards and 17 touchdowns this past season for the 9-1 Tigers in Class C-2. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 100% Although Iowa State’s offer was enticing, “I ultimately couldn’t picture myself playing for anybody but Nebraska,” said Makovicka (LJS 1/2006) hello, I have just read a nice story on the 3rd mack rb/fb/lb prospect from scout, & I hope that he continues the NU walk-on tradition laid down by his brothers: http://nebraska.scout.com/2/493211.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please feel free to copy and paste a few of the questions and give us your "Nsight" 1) What are your first impressions of this recruit (speed, strength, character, leadership, grades, etc)? 2) Rank his importance to the Huskers 1-10 (10 the most important). 3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity? 4) Who does this player most remind you of? 5) Where do you see this player in 2010?
  3. hello, now it is just down to waiting to read what deas & lee will do, & what walk-ons will be asked to walk-on, like: http://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=505501 - who, NU wants to walk-on, & downing wants as to accept a schollie
  4. hello, do not sweat over this one too much, because he will be officially N tonight...I believe that this was all just a little stunt to garner some pub for himself, & honor his original statement that he would not announce until late in jan - therefore, the real sweating should only occur by him when & while he tries to qualify academically to NU - so, stop screwing around & do your homework, thenarse!
  5. hello, solich may have 8 recruits, but he did have a makovicka at ohio u, last weekend, & prince will get his shot at mak this weekend p.s. it is too bad that this mak is leaving the state 2nd p.s. I also wish that NU would have offered paulo a greyshirt
  6. I know that solich was looking at him pretty hard, & I thought that there was going to be a schollie waiting for him there - but I guess not he is also a good soccer player, so there is a good chance that he turned down soccer schollies to walk-on for NU p.s. this is my 200th post - I just did not think that it would be a post on a walk-on punter - oh well, congrats to henery
  7. hello, lee is coming from the juco ranks therefore he must know the importance of chosing a school where he will play the soonest. So, I don't know why ore st would not have the advantage over him, especially since NU is recruiting him to add depth to the dt position, & challenge the others for playing time (& of course he may have a slight chance of beating out cryer - but not a very, great chance of doing so, & starting, like he might at ore st - therefore, I believe that his statement about the passing contrast b/w the pac-10 or B12 is a cop out - especially since, there is not that big of a discrepency b/w the 2 leagues in their abilities or willingness to pass or run - it simply comes down to where he is going to play more (ore st), & who can help him get to the next level the quickest (NU/blake) - in my opinion p.s. deas will be an on-going mystery for quite a while (even after he commits)
  8. hello, what is w/ this new colorado staff - they are almost like the old staff, who would do anything to entice a recruit, & they will not stop recruiting kids who have verballed to other schools, but whatever it is is working for them, because for every kid who shuts the door in their face a couple have left it open - like thenarse & this kid, who was headed to ucla: http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=148&p=2&c=489...2%2f489646.html or this kid, who was headed to ore st: http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=148&p=8&c=1&nid=1892359 or this kid, who was headed to wash st: http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=148&p=8&c=1&nid=1913565 or this kid, who committed to bsu: http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=148&p=8&c=1&nid=1869712 or this kid, who committed to tt: http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=148&p=8&c=1&nid=1758637 or thenarse, & they managed to do all of this, & tick off a lot of schools & coaches in 2 wks time - wow, keep it up cu - you are making a lot of enemies through out the nation
  9. hello, will henry it looks like tx 1st football recruit is andre jones from el paso - do you know him, or have you played w/ or against him in sports?: http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=110&p=2&c=490...d2%26c%3d490293
  10. hello, so when the coaches were in ca during the last couple of days did they stop & speak to culbert, (& mouton & thenarse) & if they did was it then that he committed? p.s. why does rivals have him as a soft verbal - & everyone else who has posted no matter the site has him as solid, & what is w/ his 40 x of 4.79?
  11. hello, NU's last schollie will be given to lee when he visits, & that will close out this yrs recruiting yr the only mystery left will be if - henry (burke hs) will qualify, & if purify will stay committed, & if thenarse will announce on espn-u if he is committing to fresno or NU, or then will he qualify (& is he going to visit cu?), & where will deas verbal to, & will he qualify there, & will palmer make the grades, & be here by the summer, & will bullock, mackovicka, bayer, eloi, pflueger, mohr, & henery walk on, or take smaller college schollies, or will there be any other transfers, & what current walk-ons will be given schollies, & all the other things that I have left unwritten
  12. hello, will henry I think you just rised up a star in rivals: http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewp...=1&pr_key=42919 p.s. I do not know about that picture, though
  13. hello, vanessa - vp - she needs a schollie to lincoln, also: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendID=22946010
  14. hello, according to what I have just read cally & co are in southern california, & made a stop at the mouton household, so let's keep our fingers crossed p.s. hawkins has swayed james smith who had committed to wa st, & was an interest to NU a couple wks back, to visit boulder this wkend, plus he was wooing mcelroy, & just got herrod to commit, & he is calling thenarse - all of a sudden, hawkins is starting to get annoying by banging on all the doors of committed kids - desparate coaches will do anything - & now the b12 n has 2 in prince & hawkins - oh well, NU will get them in the end
  15. hello, will henry...what are the chances of you recruiting vp (from your web page) to lincoln? - wow please, say very good.
  16. hello, according to a scout article gerard lee was one of the top hs dt's in the nation a couple of yr ago (pre-juco), & visited NU - but I do not recall ever hearing of his name until recently - does anyone remember/know if he was an official or unofficial visitor, then, or if he was at time being recruited by solich & co., or cally & co. - 2 yrs ago? http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=204&p=2&c=489...2%2f489268.html
  17. hello, well it looks like deas is coming this weekend: http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=204&p=9&c=6&yr=2006 p.s. yea, yea, yea...12th post on this page, & I am going to stop, now, I promise
  18. scratch that - gerald lee & william griffin are visiting this wkend sorry about that, & this is my 11th & final post in this category p.s. sorry about posting 11 x's
  19. hello, walton & royster should be deciding today on what school they will be enrolling into this coming fall, & here are some others that have NU still as a possibility: culbert should be announcing after his visit to wa 1/20 - his other visits were to NU 9/2 & or 1/13 davis will be announcing sometime after his 5th & final visit to tn 1/20 - his other visits were to NU 9/30, va 12/2, ncst 12/9, & wv 1/13 mouton & ross should be announcing soon - mouton is done w/ taking school visits (NU 9/2, mi 9/9, lsu 12/14, & usc 12/2), & ross has taken 3 visits (to NU 9/2, or 9/23, & az 12/9) deas visited aub last wkend, & will be visiting fsu this wkend, & lsu the following - NU should get his last visit sometime after that green visited harvard 12/16, & usc last wkend, & may visit NU, yet (possibly w/ glass) lee & williams are coming this wkend & isaac, who has only visited NU, is a mystery
  20. hello, this one is a goner: http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=204&p=8&c=1&nid=1837806
  21. hello, well it seems that NU could have 2 visitors from the pelican state of la for this weekend one being lee, who rivals boosts as benching 410 & squatting 540 lbs, & william griffin, who maybe a replacement for royster, since joe is coming for dinner at the royster household in va - according to rivals, & NU is not invited even for the leftovers. here is griffin's database from rivals: http://nebraska.rivals.com/viewprospect.as...y=37269&Sport=1
  22. hello, walton is going to commit on espn-u tomorrow evening - & I for some odd reason am optimistic
  23. hello, it looks like big papa will be calling on royster: http://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=502124
  24. hello, I read something about a month ago (in a rival magazine) that read that royster hurt himself last yr in a lacrosse game - something like he torn his acl, or something like that, & if he had not hurt himself last yr he would have been one of the top/if not the top rb prospect this yr - can anyone help me out w/ this one, & am I right on his injury, or whatever it may have been, or was?
  25. hello, looks like gerald lee will be the next recruit to visit NU on jan 20th: http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=204&p=8&c=1&nid=2289378
