Hip flexor injuries suck. Had one when I was younger and wasn't the same all season. I'm sure it's even worse for a kicker

Imo he is innocent until proven guilty. That's what's great about this country. So why would we sit him if hes literally innocent as we speak.
"Let's wait and see if you're convicted of a felony" is not reasonable in my eyes. Innocent until proven guilty.

They are constantly asked how much they’re lifting by reporters. It’s not like they are bragging about it. What do you expect them to say? “Well the angle of my knees to hips was 10% so it wasn’t quite parallel but I lifted 8 plates.” I mean, that’s silly. They are answering the question they’re asked.
My thoughts exactly. And hey if that's what a squat is to them, then that's what it is. And from what I can tell they pretty much do full squats. So idk what all this 1/4 squat talk is. Do you expect them to ruin their knees and have their a$$ touch the floor? Noooo thank you

I call them 1/4 squats just because that is what I have always called a squat not going parallel.
I'm gonna go ahead and trust Duval on this one. When you get the position of S&C coach then I'll take your word over his

Making Dedrick Mills get a 2.5 GPA in order to participate in the nation's only real NFL Farm system makes as much sense as you having to demonstrate how to tie a bowline knot on your sneakers to go to work at the Walmart Distribution center. Or me having to show that I can wipe my arse with a hula hoop before I can get my drivers license. It makes no sense.
What would make sense is to cut the student athlete crap for the real blue chippers and start paying them what they're due, if you care about them so much. What's worth more: interest on $200,000 for life or a 2.5 years of course work in PE with a 2.5 GPA.
I could not disagree with you more.
Why do they make athletes have a minimum GPA? It shows their character and work ethic. I don't even need to argue any more than that. You fail to see the overall picture.
What is better at showing your character and work ethic..wiping your a$$ with a hula hoop before you get your drivers license or maintaining a 2.5 GPA in college?

The student part of student athlete is the problem here.
I hope not. He has legit NFL potential.

I'll bite and try the Athletic. I'm getting annoyed with 247. Just like you said, regurgitated info. Nothing really original, typos and errors galore, rehashed pieces from the week before - definitely been slipping lately. I do enjoy Christopherson's pieces, but not a fan of everything else. Hopefully the Athletic is better.

Regardless of all this, the NCAA cant ask how MW paid for his attorney, nor can they ask his family. That is all part of attorney-client confidentiality. So even if it was free, NCAA would never get that answer nor can they demand it.

Never said bando was highly thought of
got early stars ( three) because he went to a highly rated school and Been going to lots of camps since the 8th grade
saw him in San Antonio at a camp when he was an 8th grader
he got recruited because of the img thing
and the stars from camps
i hope they both play
just don’t see it happening
jurgens is a freak athlete and so is his younger brother
but he has been injured 4 years in a row now
seen too many of these to think it’s just bad luck
lol look at Bando's rank history. He was ranked a 3 star before he even went to IMG. so you're just trying to spitball to make your arguments valid - which, imo, are not valid. Good try though

River side athletes do not have the same love for the huskers as the rest of the state. I'm not saying all. But alot of this has to do with lack of coach hs presents & lowa kicking our a$$ the last few years in both football & basketball. I think Scott will change this.
You're definitely right on this one. I teach in Omaha and have around 140 students. I asked each class if they were husker fans because I was curious what the Husker love was like with the Omaha youth. 26 high school kids raised their hands saying they were husker football fans. 26 out of 140. Made me sick.

If the boy claimed it was sexual assault, then yes. But it wouldn't be in the media if there wasn't an athlete involved, and it just so happens that not many people watch women's sports. So it likely wouldn't be in the media at all.
It's been called an alleged assault most of the time, but some articles have worded it making it appear as though Washington knew it was.Media is not helping the look of UNL right now imo

The boys haven't been charged with sexual assault, and in your hypothetical scenario, if the boy accused the girls of assaulting him, then it would proceed as usual.
Would the media play it up as a sexual assault in my scenario?
Its just doesnt make sense to me that if no one was charged with sexual assault, why its constantly being called an assault
-
If the roles were reversed and a male was giving a female oral sex, would the girls be charged with sexual assault?

I can’t rave about him enough. Ideal prospect at this time.
Definitely. Exactly the type of prospect Frost wants at the qb spot. We will be golden at the most important spot on the field for years to come. Very very refreshing

I wonder if McCaffrey ends up at WR. He can play very soon and wouldn't be sitting behind Martinez for the next three years. He hasnt played a lot of QB in HS. I think the next starter after Martinez will be brought in on the next recruiting cycle.
I think he would excel at wr but qb is where he needs to be at. For not playing qb much, he actually is fairly polished in his mechanics. He has above average arm strength already. Verdu will mold him into a star at the quarterback spot

After watching McCafferys highlights, I have no doubt he will be the next star after martinez. Kid is going to be in the Heisman conversation. Incredible athlete

Mississippi schools are basically the anti Nebraska. They have 7 conference championships between them, but Mississippi and its bordering states are ranked 6th, 8th, 11th, and 13th when it comes to # of college football recruits. And they just chant "SEC" whenever a recruit visits. A lot of people like to see Nebraska should be able to be top 10 and top 5 and completely ignore distance as a factor, when it is one of the most important factors there is. I think Nebraska's recruiting will improve but teenagers don't get excited when they think of moving to what they see as a corn field far away from what they know. They think its all cornfields until they get here. Our recruiting will improve drastically, just need to get those recruits to campus. Which Frost will. I'm on the side that location won't hurt us as much as other geographically-challenged schools. Luckily we have a blue-blood tradition on our side which will be enough to get them to campus. Add in the fact that we will have success on the field, which will get these top flight athletes to at least come to campus. They will realize it isn't memorial stadium in the middle of a giant cornfield. Frost will take care of the rest.
Fully believe we can have top 10 classes, if not right on the fringe.

You're right.
I should get my 7 year old nephew on a recruiting visit up there. Wonder if we can petition the NCAA to get his official a little early
