  1. Does it seem like it's been a while since we've been in the top 5? I started thinking about that yesterday. I started wondering how many teams have spent time in the top 5 since Bo's been here. Nebraska spent one week in the top 5 over the last 7 seasons.

I only used the AP rankings for the data. The following teams have spent at least one week in the top five since 2008 (no particular order):

    Georgia

    Ohio St

    USC

    Oklahoma

    Florida

    Missouri

    LSU

    Alabama

    Texas

    Penn St

    Texas Tech

    Utah

    South Carolina

    West Va

    k State

    Baylor

    Miss St

    Oklahoma St

    Ole Miss

    Boise St

    VaTech

    Cincinnati

    Iowa

    TCU

    Auburn

    Oregon

    Stanford

    Michigan St

    Wisconsin

    Florida St

    Clemson

    Arkansas

    Notre Dame

  2. If there was someone out there like Urban Myer. You know, I feel like we could lure in a top-tier coach from the SEC. Because, it's tough to make a NC game in their conf. Too much competition. If they came here (and kept recruiting) they could compete for conf/NC more often.

  3. I like the Conference Champ guaranteed bid scenario, but doesn't that mean you could use your non-conf games as practice? I like the scenario mentioned earlier about conf champ getting in but including the caveat that you have to be top 12 or something.

I'm having a hard time understanding this article. It actually talks about the conf champs getting automatic bid to the CFP just like everyone's been talking about. Take a look at the first couple of bullets--

  4. Long time reader-first time poster. I was hoping I'd have a far more important topic for my first post, but I noticed that the game tracker says "April 1" for the Spring game. Huskers.com is saying April 12 which I confirmed with the Athletic Department. Don't want anyone to make plans based on the April 1st date.
