Not only that, he said the '95 Huskers had a "one-dimmensional attack". Can't say I agree with that. Sure we could ram it down their throats, but Tommie could throw too! Then Kirk asks the question why don't we see more offenses like the '95 Huskers today if they were so good? As Osborne and Switzer said during the Oklahoma game on TV this year, there just aren't coaches out there that believe in that system and know how to run it effectively. Kirk thinks that defenses have changed and it just isn't possible to run that type of system anymore, whereas Osborne as Switzer said that offenses have become so similar that the defenses don't see anything different. Perhaps that is why defenses look better to Kirk, because they see virtually the same plays week in and week out.

Since you have to vote for both matchups vote for Sam the Minuteman in the 2nd matchup. As of right now Smokey is beating Herbie's total by a few hundred points so we don't want to add to that.

Anybody else notice that the first 5 drives (15 plays not including punts which I sure hope aren't scripted) didn't produce a single first down? Then suddenly on the 6th drive (after the script was finished) we got a first down? Obviously this idea of scripting the first 15 plays isnt' working.

You guys in CA (and elsewhere not getting the game) should get ESPN Gameplan. Don't know how you live without it being NU fans here.
