  1. Again...and I don't see how folks don't f*****g get this...Tommy played poorly, to say the least. But if you're the OC, and you see that Tommy can't figure out the opposition's zone defense...do you keep calling plays that force him to figure it out? Or do you go with higher-percentage plays that move the chains and keep the ball away from Iowa? This is the same God D**m s**t that we saw against BYU, against Wisky, against Illinois, against Purdue. It's not the kids, it's the coaches being inept. The talent is there--these coaches just don't know how to best utilize it, which should put a chill through any kid that's committed to this staff. What run? According to most here when we run we don't run the right way. How about a competent Junior QB. Watch Baylor's 3rd stringer tonight if you want to see better QB play. Ohio State, Baylor, etc have better second and third string QBS then our first string. Not any more, Beck is their coach
  2. This was a disaster from December 4th on. It never got any better. Period.
  3. It's been the truth all year. It's why 5-7 is what will show up on the final record And next year when they have a QB to replace him with, they'll make a change. Beck couldn't do much with him, now another staff can't. Abdullah gives them 2 or 3 wins on his speed alone just like last year. His fundamentals and decisions are so bad he won't be fixed in college and will never play pro. Hell, we could argue Beck even ran Barrett and Jones into the ground at Ohio State
  4. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? TA was bad, so don't call plays to make it worse
  5. Agreed. Congratulations Iowa! Heck of a season Thank you for showing Nebraska who we used to be, and how we need to get back to playing Top 10 football. +1,000,000,000,000,000,000
  6. Thank god Eichorst didn't let us become Iowa Thank god Peterson didn't let us gravitate toward mediocrity

  8. What a horrible effort by Cotton, keep running and drag your feet
  9. TA makes me long for the Mike Grant era TA makes me long for the Mickey Joseph era TA makes me long for the McCathorn Clayton era
  10. Some of that has to be on coaching and lack of development, or at least recognizing the same mistakes
  11. Hell, if we get it back, TA will chuck another one Two possessions at the 50 or better, and no points to show for it in crunch time
  12. The thing is, if you call anything that has long route in, TA will throw it there. Never even looked, never wanted to throw it anywhere but deep
  13. Desmond Howard won the Heisman on the same play. 4th and short, 1991, against Notre Dame at Michigan Stadium, UM up 17-14 I believe, and Howard hauled in the pass from Elvis Grbac to seal the win and propel him toward the Heisman Elvis has left the building. Right, we don't have a pro QB or Heisman trophy winner to make those plays, so the play caller needs to call the freaking play.
  14. Riley looks like a man who wants to quit. No fight in that guy. A career of being mediocre....... In a place where 9-4 gets you canned. he's a fish out of water
  15. Desmond Howard won the Heisman on the same play. 4th and short, 1991, against Notre Dame at Michigan Stadium, UM up 17-14 I believe, and Howard hauled in the pass from Elvis Grbac to seal the win and propel him toward the Heisman
  16. I'll take yelling as long as it is productive, at least it looks like you care Seriously, 3rd and 1 failed, then fourth and one fade route. Holy f*cKsticks, Just unload this staff I can't believe there were people that thought 15 more practices under this staff would be a good idea
  17. Look at Alex Lewis pushing someone after the play has gone downfield, he's going to get himself another bad penalty
