We really can’t arrive at any conclusions. He could’ve played poorly and didn’t. One cannot overlook any area of his play though.

It’s unfortunate that our backup quarterbacks haven’t gotten more in game experience over the last several years. That would be beneficial as well.

I think Haarberg playing will elevate his game and the other QB’s as well.

Out backup QBs from last year did get game time experience.  The problem is they all left after the season ended.

  2. Yeah, I don't get the talent evaluation being bad.  How many defensive freshmen are playing?  There is some young talent on this team, and I suspect we will start to see more and more of the offensive freshmen start contributing as they learn more and more.

if shaddur and hunter go pro, i think deion would have a hard time turning down the money Texas A&M could pay him.

If this happens Deion will be on the first plane out of Boulder.  He Leaving!  And he won't be going to a Texas school.  That schtick won't fly in Texas, just like it wouldn't work in any midwest school.  If he goes anywhere it will be to the Southeast, or California.  I also wouldn't be shocked at all if he retires from coaching as soon as his kids are done.  I also don't see his schtick working in the NFL

  4. I think the. "the 2nd string guy can't be that bad" comments are not remembering history all that well.  All one has to look at is the Texas Tech debacle where Callahan, basically said you want the backup, you got him.

And last year or the year before when Frost benched Martinez and started McCaffery and he proceeded to piss down his leg under pressure.  I'm sure there are others out there, but those are two off the top of my head.

2nd string QBs are there for a quarter or two if your main guy goes down, that's it.  There are very few programs in the country that could trot out their 2nd string QB and keep winning.

  5. I'm guessing she spoke at Michigan state also.  If this truly went down the way we have heard so far.  Mel Tucker is massive idiot.  You don't sexually assault a sexual assault survivor that you invited to speak to your team about sexual assault.  This just seems.....off.  OR he really is truly that much of a massive idiot.

I don't want to be that guy, but I would love to see the timing of all of this.  Did this alleged event happen before or after Michigan state realized they made a massive 100 million dollar mistake?

Huh guess the accountability thing only applies to the previous coaches players

I'm really kind of sick of this type of statement.  We have NO clue what the conversation are behind the scenes as it relates to Grant and fumbling.  Stop speaking your myths into reality.

For all we know Grant was hurt last week.

For all we know Grant packed his bags and quit the team because he didn't want to play anymore

For all we know Grant and Rhule have an agreement in place, setup by Grant to not play until he doesn't fumble once in practice all week.

    Who knows, we certainly don't.

  7. So unpopular take here. Sims fumbles are not necessarily his fault. They are the lines fault. It was a silent count most of the game which is controlled by the line.  And their timing was off multiple times. (I would be willing to give the first one to Sims but it wasn’t a great snap)

I seem to remember a certain center that was rolled for bad snaps and causing Adrian to fumble. Very few of those were tagged to Martinez and rightly left at the feet of the bad snap.

  8. Sanders appears to have a good team this year but man the schtick isn’t going to last. They get taken to the woodshed once it could get ugly fast.

everything is hunky dory now. But what happens when some adversity comes their way. If Nebraska could have just gotten out of their own way we were actually starting to see what would happen.

also I fully expect Deion to jet after this season. Why would he stay at CU ?

I personally would rather continue taking my lumps now and know the future will be bright. Versus a flash in the pan one season experiment.

Didn’t see Rhule speak, but have seen several mention he seemed: Ill, sad, scared, regretful, or a combination of all.   Any confirmation?  I’m think it was FB comments, Reddit, and x. Not sure, but there were more than a few

There was a comment on another post about it.  In my opinion on the wrap up show he looked pretty tired and/or pissed.  Because those two can be confused from time to time.

  10. The amount of commercials to pay for all of these massive TV contracts will be the death of the massive TV contracts.

It has already been complained about by MANY about how there are way to many commercials and not enough football.  The TV networks have to pay for these things some how, and if viewership drops because of that then look out.

The TCU team we watched yesterday didn't look like anything close to the team that played for a natty last year.  They were drastically overrated at #17.

You know how in past years. Husker fans would say to themselves. Man that BYU team that took us to the 4th qtr and beat us is going to be a top 25 team by the end of the year, and then by the end of the year they won 4 games?  Or pick any other team that "unexpectedly" beat Nebraska over the past 20 years.  Yeah, that's CU this year, and TCU is Nebraska.

CU was 1-11 last year, so they are more likely to be better this year. Just because the floor can't get much lower.

That may be true, but there are like 10 guys on that entire campus that are still on or involved with the team this year.  It is a completely different roster and team from last year.  Still doesn't mean they are going to be any good, but this is one team where you really can't look at the past to gauge the future.
