  1. Christopherson only mentioned that no Athletics Department staff was on the plane...

Therefore confirmed that Harvey & a university Lawyer delivered the papers and got a signature today. Tressel will be on his way after notifying YSU in the AM. Presser tomorrow afternoon. BAM!

  2. So the plane landed at 12:27 pm and is leaving Columbus at 9:57 about 9 hours. I takes about 3 hours to drive to Youngstown from Columbus.

At 6:27 Jim Tressel did tweet out

    @@JimTressel5

Enjoying a YSU holiday tradition tonight - Carols & Cocoa with our talented Dana School of Music Students

That gave us 3 hours to do our talking by the time Tressel leaves for this YSU holiday tradition to drive 3 hours back to Columbus for the trip back to Lincoln.

SO arrive at 12:27 then drive 3 ours which would put them at 3:27 in Youngstown. Do a lot of talk about the contract, when it'll be announced, NCAA sanctions, Husker sweater vest and then say their goodbyes so Tressel can head to the YSU holiday tradition. Leave Youngstown at 6 for the 3 hour trip back to Columbus to fly out at 9:57 back to Lincoln

    What do you think?

Either that or the Tressel deal is in the bag and Eichorst is running around poaching from Tressel assistant shopping list.

  3. Ok, I have some minor info that kind of confirms something we already know, but I'd thought I'd post it anyways.

I know someone on another DI football coaching staff (will say if the info becomes relevant) and their program is somewhat following our coaching search because thier HC is on the candidate waiting list. Right now, there is definitely a coach (not sure who) Eichorst is particularly targeting and he has already interviewed this person (not sure what day). This person believes Eichorst is waiting for this prospect to accept or decline the job (and that coach may have already made a decision) before he reaches out to the other coaches he has on his candidate waiting list. Obviously, if this person accepts, Eichorst doesn't reach out to these other coaches.

    You should have said:

"Hey guys, I know a guy that said nebraska is running a HC search".

because that's all you really said in that whole spout of garbage.

Is this the cause of delay in an announcement?

If so I agree with waiting. You?

I don't believe theres been any delay. I'm sure eichorst has had his timetable since Saturday night if he's got his guy already locked up like it sounds. If theres nothing tomorrow after the 48 hour mandated posting then we likely don't hear until after the CCGs this weekend.

  5. So everyone is ok with a coach that has been in trouble at every place he has been? Remember the good old days when husker fans wanted to do things the tight way.

Osborne is just as guilty as Tressel at covering up for his guys and we're gonna built ducking statues of him soon. Nebraska will always preach a clean program, but they will overlook this and preach Tressels great leadership of young men. He will be knocked for a bit if eichorst can't renegotiate the show cause penalty, but I think Eichorst is making this deal because he already has a great strategy to take the NCAA. He will preach an impeccable compliance department that will be transparent and thorough after hiring Tressel.

  6. In my mind it's Tressel or bust. Eichorst doesn't talk game like he did without an ace in his sleeve. I've seen enough to put me off of Mullen, and Patterson sounds like a no-go. Anyone else would be a reset button gamble at best.

Assemble the dream team with Tressel/Frost! The goal was plainly set out folks, contending for Banners is the expectation & we need some #BANNERMEN to lead us there.

k, I'm new to the flight track thingy but looks to me like there were quite a few flights between Lincoln and Columbus, what makes that one special?

None of them are. That plane is a twin piston 4 seater prop plane owned by a Lincoln financial advisor. JT ain't riding in that tiny thing. Look for gulfstreams, citations, learjets (twin-jets in general).

Not to mention he'd be flying to youngstown, not OSU.

    ARE YOU THE SOCKPUPPET?!

Lol, no. My account was created last night. I'm all aboard the Tressel train though. The rumors hold the most clout and I don't think Eichorst would talk game like he did if he didn't have an ace in his sleeve.

  9.

Sooooo who's the DC in all this JT madness?

I say bring back carl !!!!!

If we could poach Dave Aranda from Wisconsin I'd be stoked, but his salary is already $480K. Don't know that we could splash enough to lure him away if we're spending on JT/Frost.

  10. I realize that we've already progressed to Tressel sightings in Lincoln today but I figured I'd add the information I heard today.

A friend of a co-worker works for Duncan Aviation and said Tressel flew into Lincoln Sunday night.

I know I'm a newby so take that as you will (i've always just been a lurker). I have no reason to be suspicious of his information. Co-worker has spoken about his friend at duncan in the past, I've only met him in passing but he seems like a nice dude.
