  1. More than likely it will be a charter and the pilot won’t file the plan until the morning an hour or so before wheels up, keep an eye out around 7-8AM CST for it to pop up. edit: nvm. The Beatrice flight redirected to lincoln is the one...sneaky pilot.
  2. Born in 84 here. My first memories of really learning about and being interested in football are the 90’s championship years. Would always have a friend over and get a Bigfoot pizza and watch the games with Dad. Some of my best childhood memories are Husker football with Dad. Scott Frost is the first celebrity I ever met. We were eating dinner at Amigos in York when he came in. I was so nervous and didn’t want to be inconsiderate but he was so nice and was happy to take a moment out of his evening to say hello to us kids. This is the first time in my adult life I feel like I can relax and trust that the program is in the hands of someone who knows how much this program means to all of us. If it takes 7-8 years for the rebuild, so be it. We hit rock bottom this year. I’ve worn a Husker hat almost every day for the last 10 years. This year I hung it up after the NIU game because I was ashamed to wear it. Give him a lifetime contract for all I care. I want someone at the head of this program that has lived the history and tradition of this university and will continue to strive for Honor. Excellence. Integrity. GBR!
  3. It's a good thing Kenny already has tons of game experience catching late balls.
  4. WTF is this? Perhaps it's a medical condition or injury. And the media is forbidden to comment on it until Gregory himself says it's okay to disclose it. It's Possible. I'd assume it's a HIPAA violation for the media to disclose a medical condition without express consent of the individual.
  5. Who doesn't have an inside zone as a staple of their offense?
  6. Looking at the game as a completely blank slate I think Darlington showed the best today. He didn't look the biggest or strongest on the day, but he read the game exceptionally and threw well placed balls to the open man. With more experience I think he's slots in at #2 with a real chance to take #1 if given good non-con garbage time and Armstrong makes some big mistakes later in the season. (wait, what....we can actually hold our QB's accountable now? that's a weird feeling...) TA is still TA. He's got the respect of the team and that counts for a lot. He's serviceable in the passing game, but still making late throws and tends to zero in on his receiver before the play starts. He'll get the nod at the beginning of the year, but Bush and Darlington will be licking their chops at the first sign of a breakdown. I think Bush will sit comfortably at the #2-3 spot. There's a lot to like, but he's raw. Needs to speed up his delivery and make faster decisions. I could see him being really comparable to Cam Newton if he bulks a little and speeds up his mental game a bit. Stanton looks like a monster out on the field. He big, stout, and throws a Laser. His accuracy and touch still needs work, and unfortunately that's one of the traits most difficult to coach (see Martinez). If he can't get it under control I'd like to see how he does at LB or safety, his size and speed would work well there. Based solely on today my QB depth chart is: 1. TA (only for the experience & leadership) 2. Darlington (it's nice to see a QB work like a real QB) 3. Bush 4. Fyfe 5. Brockemeier 6. Stanton
  7. I think the Blackshirts being given out during fall camp makes much more sense. It's not some reward to be earned individually during the season by an arbitrary decision. It is a statement from the coaches that you are THE MAN at your position. They give it out to all the starters and tell them to protect it. Give it your all because there's someone nibbling at your heels that just might want it worse than you if you give it up. That's how you make the tradition mean something. It's an incentive to boost those players to the next level. To make them come to practice every day thinking "I'm going to dominate everyone here, because that blackshirt means everything to me and I don't want to lose it."
  8. Looks like Paulo is N? Mike Cavanaugh ‏@CoachCavHuskers 4m4 minutes ago Work secured in Sacramento! Next stop home #Nebraska #GBR
  9. He was a wr over there? Played RB then moved to LB his Junior year from what I read. Edit: He edited the tweet, it says LB now.
  10. Aj Bush‏@ajbush23 Congrats boy!!
  11. Correct. Yup, Vaughn & Gundy are the HUDL heroes on the team. They sift through the masses to pick out guys the coaches will want to get after. State HS coaches need to get these guys on speed-dial.
  12. What are your thoughts? We graduated 6 Seniors starters so at least that many to fill, but with a presumably clean slate (although I'm sure Riley doesn't completely ignore game experience), how many take that chance to step up and be THE MAN in their position group?
  13. He's garaunteed to get a nagging injury like turf toe or something that holds him back for the next 2 years....it happens to every great husker prospect.
  14. Like the title says... I'm assuming the previous rules prevented Athletes from receiving supplements from the university. Although probably a lot of them already get them from boosters if family couldn't provide them I suppose.
