  1. Really? How much 'goodwill' does Scott Frost really have? He shunned NU and Tom Osborne's scholarship offers to go with Bill Walsh and the West Coast offense and he was a small town Nebraska kid with NU family ties. Why does everyone seem to have such a crush on Scott Frost? He was a great athlete and did well as a Nebraska QB although he would have been an outstanding LB or tight end or Defensive end or whatever position. Probably a great punter too. But a head coach ? I think we need to see a great deal more production frankly.

I think he is leaving only for the money. No reason to stay as some say. The reason you stay is because you are a team member, and want the best for your team. Some kids think that way others don't. I see no real loss by him going. He has not totally embraced the team or the staff it appears from his comments.

    Next man up.

So, you've never left a job for a better opportunity elsewhere? I don't see how VV is being selfish, and what is wrong with leaving to the NFL to make money? People go to college in order to get a degree and make more money in the real world. VV has his degree and he is hoping to earn a lot of money in the NFL. I see nothing wrong with his decision.

Good TD by Tommy, but he's left a potential 12 points off the board tonight.

He can only do so much with the bullsh#t play calling.

    50/50. Tommie can't throw, nor read a D.

    Please bring in Fyfe

Why? It's not like he played very good last week.

Yeah. Cause Tommie lighting it up like Brady, right ?I

It's Tommy!!! Jesus Christ, you are obviously a troll bc someone with so little knowledge wouldn't be posting Christ.

The talent arguement is valid in spots or by position. O-line is not talented, or at least doesn't have 2 deep talent. CB's are not talented enough for big time football. The only way that they have been used is for bend but don't break pass coverage in the past. Now they are being asked to man up, and can't do it.

Linebackers are thin, and quite frankly not very good. Some bright spots here and there, but no dominate player in that group.

Wr's are of more talent than most years, but not blow away/blow by talent. Possesion receivers are great, but don't bust a defense wide open.

QB' position is not deep, but Armstrong isn't killing the team with 4 or 5 turnovers every game. Even though that interception return by NW turned momentum in NW's favor.

Before the season started, the comments were," We should have enough or better talent than most in the west Division", I take that as a slap in the face comment. Do we have more talent than Iowa or Wisky right now? I don't think so. They have dominant line play on both sides of the ball. Thats where is starts. Just watch LSU and BAma tonight in spots and see the specimens on the lines.

In short, we don't have the talent to compete against very talented teams. We don't have depth, and we don't have speed.

This is Riley's first season, and been here since January last year. Spring practice and fall practice is his only time here to build up talent. Building talent on a roster takes longer than 8 months. You develop talent over a couple of seasons. That is why we redshirt.

Stopped at bolded because how would you even know?

    Boom

Bump. Are you still trying to find a player that didn't improve?

One hell of a lot of O linemen.

just from a quick run down of last year's roster.

Sometimes you have to come out of lurkdom to say WTF? I'm probably going to look like an idiot, I'm sure you were talkin about players who didn't get any better this year and are in fact, worse.

Just in case You are trying to tell us about people who didn't improve under Bo I will debate the easiest ones. Let's start with the fact that Jamal Turner took a medical redshirt last year and didn't play much at all and has been hampered by injuries what feels like constantly. Then we'll move on to the fact that Drew Brown was a freshman last season who made 59 PATS in a row which is the 3rd most in school history which is pretty good. Sometimes a great high school qb isn't going to be a great college qb. I remember when everyone here wanted Johnny Stanton to be the starter over Tommy and then expected him to be when old MR came to town, we all know that MR recruited the sh#t out of JS but Bo beat him. Bo, the worst recruiter in the world, according to the board. Anywho. He transferred after working out all spring with the qb profit MR and Nebraska's favorite son since Matt Turman was still better than him(you know, Old man Fyfe. It could be that Bo's suck rubbed off on him and that's why he couldn't improve, but the world will never know.

  7. I logged in for the first time in months just to say I feel severe dislike towards him. I don't think he cares. He stands on the sidelines, playing with his sweatshirt strings, staring off into space looking for an exit, when he finds one he takes off his headset and QUITS on the team. What is he doing on the sidelines. I will get flamed for this one, I don't care. I would like to know exactly what MR is doing to improve the team. I do not believe for a second that the majority of these kids don't want to get better. Why aren't they? And why do the players sound more knowledgable and like better leaders in the pressers? It is really bothering me.

  8.

My dad and uncle aren't renewing. Last year was their first year holding tickets. It has nothing to do with the team. It has to do with the seats that aren't wide enough for their rears, let alone their shoulders, and apparently they had some fairly lame fans sitting around them. Add to that the 2000 minimum donation on top if ticket prices they decided it wasn't worth it. They'll buy tickets to the games they really want to be at and sit somewhere they really want and come out way ahead.

2k was that each? If so those were some sweet seats.

I'm like your dad, I had seats 3-4, many times we would get there and the people in the middle already had back rests to the end of the row, and that was without the people in 1 and 2 or 5 and 6, we were crushed in there so tightly, I was miserable. I took my donation cash and funneled it into a sweet TV and set up for my basement. I go to one or two games a year, I miss it but its not worth the hassle any more.

Maybe it was $1000? they had 3 seats total, so maybe for the 3 of them it was $2000? Their seats weren't bad, but not what I would consider good. I do know the donation ended in 000 when he told me, but I cannot remember the exact details.
