So, UCLA is paying Chip Kelly $23.3M for 5 years. Are we still at $35M for 7 years with Scott?

Sometimes, things happen for a reason. Three years ago, Pelini got fired and Riley was hired. Many of us wanted Scott Frost at that time, but it didn't happen. Maybe it was for the best in the long run. Scott has experience as a HC now. He has grown as a coach and has a national reputation. Now, the stars are lining up to bring him home. The time is right. The position is open. Scott is ready. Money is available. The fan base is pumped. Our record is such that things can only get better with Scott coaching. The stars will never line up like this again. If it doesn't happen now, it will never happen. Scott, please come home. You can do it. You're ready to coach at Nebraska. We want you. Fans haven't been this excited about a prospective coach in 20 years. Come and be TO's legacy, as he was for Bob Devaney. And be your own legacy.

Now this is just ridiculous! How hated would any college coach be if his U raised tuition on kids to feed him $10 mil. Scott's not the type.

BTW, I think the story that Nebraska reached out to Chip Kelly is BS! Just some publicity guy or agent trying to up Chip's value by saying that several teams want him. Nice try. I ain't buying it. Scott Frost has been our first choice all along!

Chip Kelly going to UCLA is not good for us. Now Florida will make another hard-core pitch for SF, who was their real first choice anyway. It means more anxiety for us. I hope that those who say SF is coming home are correct. For me, I'll be worried until I see the press conference announcing him.
