I'm glad our people at NU are smarter than the people at UF. This roller coaster of a public spectacle must be rough for their fans. Chip Kelly has to know that he's UF's second choice. I'm good with the way Moos has handled this. The drama in Nebraska is being generated by us fans, not the U. And I still think Scott comes home when it's all done.

I agree, it's obnoxious. I don't condone it. I just don't think it decides the deal.

Who thinks this: "well, I was going to coach in my home state at my alma mater, which is my dream job, for double pay, but since some guys came to my UCF game and held up signs that said 'Scott come home" I decided against it.

Not necessarily. "no deal has been made" just mean "no deal is completed." Deal is still being finalized. He's not fibbing.

A woman to whom I am married, I won't mention names, just asked why I have such a hard-on to get Scott Frost. Help me out here if I forget any reasons. 1. Our great football program deserves a great coach. 2. He can build a program. Look what he has done for UCF in two years. He has a great history in coaching, even before UCF. 3. He can be a great recruiter. He played in the NFL. High school kids looking for a college want someone who can get them there. 4. He's from N. He gets it. He understands the program, tradition, fanbase, culture. He knows how to find the locker room. His parents live here. 5. He's a great guy, a good human being. A family man of faith. He'll make a good role model for our students and our state. 6. I believe he has publicly stated that this is his dream job. I like it when people get to live their dreams. What else?

You guys make good points. If we are the best fans in college football, let's at least be gracious as we take their coach!
