This probably should go in the "Unpopular Opinion" thread, but if the rumor about Domann is true (hopefully not), then maybe a medical hardship is in line for him.
Rumor?

Who are you talking to? Me? It's not that I don't think it's a serious matter. My point is that it wasn't intentional and they did take multiple precautions to try and prevent it. It was an accident. No one tried to run these two young men into the ground.
I agree with that, and with the statement that sometimes s#%t happens despite all precautions, but some were trying to minimize what happened here and it rubbed me the wrong way. With that said, I can also see how this could more easily happen when the staff is new and doesn't know the athletes, and vise-versa. It probably would be easier to tell how much is too much if you had a history with the players and knew how they typically respond to stuff. -

I think literally no one thinks this.
I'm sure you're right. It just seemed there were comments that hinted it (i.e. blaming the players rather than the staff). I'm sure this was not at all an intended or expected outcome, but the staff (and the two players) dodged a real bullet here. It is nothing to mess with. -
It's a serious matter. If your opinion is that getting the team in shape is worth risking the lives of the players, you need to rethink your priorities.

Christ on a cupcake people. What did people expect that Sr would say, given that he has stated repeatedly in the past that Riley was the reason Jr was here. I agree it lacked character to throw Armstrong under the bus and he shouldn't have done it, but how many of you were on here bashing Tommy for not being able to throw? I seem to remember quite a few. As for the comment by somebody that the whole Calibraska thing was stupid... what an ignorant and harmful thing to say. Good luck competing in the P5 with a team comprised solely of Nebraska kids, regardless of who the coach is.

I haven't listened to Benning's segment this morning, but I don't think it's the case that "Benning doesn't like Frost". I am sure Benning has questions on what happened the night LP beat Kate McEwen, and there were a lot of rumors going through the team at the time. Benning has mentioned that he and Frost spent A LOT of time together during those years, as well. The would hang out a lot in the Claremont apartments in Lincoln, as they would hang out with mutual friends. Benning has said that he keeps in touch with Frost, although it's been about a year since they last spoke one on one. I don't think he and Frost would have regular contact if they "didn't like each other".
And that certainly could be the case. I don't have any insight here, and won't comment on it anymore. -

Benning obviously doesn't like Frost personally and that's totally understandable. He's tried his best to not talk about him and he probably would rather he not be the coach. Again, understandable. But when he speaks so vaguely, he leaves nothing but room for people to fill in the blanks of what he means. He should just be honest about his feelings and move on as best he could. The spot on the radio was not the best look for him.
I agree. If that truly is the case, that Benning simply doesn't like Frost because of circumstances surrounding their time together, he should either drop it or be honest and own up to that. Given his radio job, he's in a tough spot.

Huh? Expound please?
Nothing much to expound on. While a buddy and I were talking about the senior players meeting he received an email from Moos. It was just a Happy Thanksgiving form letter. Thought it was kindof funny given the situation where everybody is on edge waiting for news from the athletic department.

Not that it matters much, but my wife actually sat next to a relative of his (maybe an uncle?) on a flight back to Lincoln a month or so ago and had a good conversation with him. She said he seemed like a good guy, but knew at that point that things were not looking good for the staff to stay.

There have been no staff requests of Frost by Nebraska. The university will work with him if he chooses to retain any.
Coach Riley said that he'd like to coach the remaining games. He is coaching through the end of the season.
Just a hunch, or do you have a source? -
I second the notion that his wife's health situation is better left alone. If true, my heart truly goes out to him and his family, but nothing has come out publicly and we do not know what is true and what is not. Let's keep the focus of this thread on Frost.

I'll second this. Hell, I don't mind rumors either. Makes the month fly by faster.
