Those stats should be enough to have Banker and Stewart gone at the end of the year. Dead last in FBS in pass defense and 33% of their #1 receivers on 3rd or 4th down. This scheme is a joke. We let their QB sit back, we lose. Plain and simple. Id' bring the house every down. Play pressure at the LOS. We are no better with a safety over the top than in man. Go for broke and get to their QB every down.

Lol. Scheme? Or the sh**ty personnel? Sorry, but the corners have steadily gotten better while the safety play has been poor and steadily gotten worse.

Like being dead last in FBS pass defense is awesome. Or smart. Ironically, we get to Cook and he muffs pass, throwing the ball out of bounds and we win. Pressure works. Rushing 4 against 6 or telegraphing the blitz doesn't.

 

Sh!tty personnel. Look at Gerrys stats from this year and last. He is almost identical. Oh, and his cratastic safety play? He now leads the D in 64 tackles.....It would also be the most solo and the most assists.....5 pass break ups and the only DB with a forced fumble......Its not the players. Its the scheme.

It's probably both the scheme and the players.

Another option would be taking the free shuttles from Big Red Keno. That's what I normally do.

I'm taking my best friend to the game. He has a messed up hip and leg from a motorcycle accident a couple of years ago which gives him trouble when walking for any length of time. The shuttle drops off near our gate, making it the best option for this game.

I dont live or spend much time in Omaha, so probably dont understand. But what has iowa done-besides being iowa-to deserve the proverbial Colorado reference? I just find it hard for anyone to be that bad. Or is it just a simply comparison as in theyll be the nasty hardcore rivalry?

Iowa fans. I don't live up there, but the facebook connections I have, yeesh. Iowa fans spend more time talking about Nebraska than they do their own damn team.

The game last night was two teams struggling with a similar coverage scheme. When MSU didn't get pressure they couldn't hold up in coverage, same with us.

 

To run this scheme you need NFL corners and a good pass rush.

Sounds like a good selling point when recruiting top tier cb talent, huh? "play in this system in college and the NFL will notice!"
