  1. So why weren't they in the playoffs? Only because Hill got hurt? In large part, but there were problems with defensive coaching and other key injuries that killed the season. In response to these issues, Bronco took back DC duties, and BYU hired a new strength and conditioning coach who has made huge changes to the program. The team is healthy and mostly injury-free heading into the season, unlike recent past seasons.
  2. Heh heh, which means there is a really good shot the guy isn't a BYU fan, but will say lots of really stupid stuff. I noticed Torpedo showed up when AggyAndee went away. Any match with AggyAndee by chance? There were a few that made me wonder like the post that sounded happy Bradford got hurt. I guess subtle sarcasm is wasted on the corn fed. The lack of national accomplishments is a sore spot for BYU fans. I was not happy Bradford was hurt (though I was happy we ended up beating #3 Oklahoma that game). I was pointing out that I recognize BYU's national impact since 1984 has been largely collateral, such as how the loss of Bradford affected the Big 12 that year. I guess I should just stick with crack whore jokes.
  3. When they're done cougar hunting, they won't have to worry about whether they've caught some horrible disease.I got a disease from your mom last night. That wasn't my mom. It was a crack whore rummaging through her garbage cans on the side of the house. Only today she's claiming she got a disease from you.

  5. I know it's Nebraska and I understand that the first thing that comes to your mind when yoy read "Cougar" is the POS car, but loosening these Cougars' lug nuts isn't really going to have much of an effect. Wait... the cougars in Utah have nuts? That's something you won't find in a travel brochure. No wonder the young men all go on missions elsewhere. Yes, and so do the mountain lions.
  6. Has this really devolved into who can out-nice who? What's the opposite of a pissing match?
  7. Riley and Bronco are good friends. I guarantee each wants to kick the other's ass badly.
  8. I'm advocating sitting Taysom for the entire Utah State game this year. The same USU player has given him both of his season-ending injuries.
  9. How about a nice game of Snakes and Foxes, then?
  10. Just people trolling for polygamous wives.
  11. Interesting fact: BYU isn't even in a conference and still has a more recent conference championship than Nebraska.

  13. Wow, someone has something up his ass. I think it's your sense of humor.
  14. Haha. Your school is still in Lincoln Nebraska. Uh.. Is that a bad thing? Have you been to Lincoln, NE? It kicks tail. Coming from a guy who has lived in a few different parts of this country, I can tell you, Lincoln is a pretty badass little city. I don't imagine it gets much better than Lincoln on gameday either. Anyone who undersells Lincoln just hasn't been there before, that's all. Could I be chummy and admit I've been to Lincoln a couple times and thought it was nice and would be a good place to live? Sure, I guess I could. But in 9 days we will all be watching the game, so I'll just post this instead: What you posted on FB with pride: What all your buddies outside of Nebraska pictured: All your buddies know there is nothing in Nebraska. They all figured you must be really proud of your uncle Jed's pond or something. So the last time BYU football did anything worth seriously bragging about was in 1984 but despite that you come here to talk smack to Nebraska fans? A few years ago we put Sam Bradford out of commission for the rest of the season.Yeah i remember that. It was the opener. Bradford had gotten used to having the best protection in the country but they all moved on. Game 1 in 2009 he was reminded how good he had it. So was that the Cougars big accomplishment that year? Well, we barely lost to Florida State by only 26. So there's that.
  15. Thanks to BYU, because we were the ones who broke him. You're welcome.
  16. Oh. So they have really good ice cream shops?

  18. The young, hot one, of course
  19. The women in Nebraska seem a bit ... homely. Oh, you thought these were Nebraska women? These are the men in Utah. Then won't it be all the more embarrassing to lose to these guys next Saturday?

  21. "I'm thinking Nebraska and here is why. BYU suspensions, talent gap and home field advantage. I think their #1 RB will be out as well with injury." I agree with you about the game, but there isn't a talent gap at lots of positions. BYU's 8th linebacker is a good player. All the WR on the roster are good players, and our 2nd string QB is a potential All American in a couple of years. When you say talent gap it sounds like you think BYU is a Sunbelt team with a couple nice players. It sounds that way because that's the way you wanted it to sound. All he said was "talent gap" and you read everything else into it. Fact is, BYU's average recruiting rank the past 4 years on rivals is 67.75. That's a talent gap, even if the ratings aren't perfect. But it doesn't mean Nebraska's going to win. I would agree that BYU's talent is down from what it has been in the past, doesn't mean they don't have some talent though. The maturity level due to mission work is also a factor in making their team stronger. I see BYU trying to reduce their lack of elite athletes with size. Having receivers that big is to try and make up for a lack of speed/jumping ability. I am sure they are great receivers that catch the ball well, but no one is going to accuse them of being speed demons. You have to be realistic BYU recruits in a pretty narrow window, they don't get a ton of non Mormon players because there isn't that many kids that are elite that want to live under the code of conduct that they are expected to live under. So that limits the pool that they are drawing from. So when a player goes on a mission, does he focus on God or football for two years? I really think the missionary issue does not do any favors for the football program. I totally respect that they have the conviction to do that, and actually think it's pretty awesome. But it doesn't do anything for and probably is a disadvantage for the program.Try to convince a college football coach to allow half his recruits each year go to the Peace Corps for 2 years. Oh, he doesn't get to pick which players and which positions. And some will leave before enrolling, some will leave after a year, and some will change their minds one way or another. They don't get to train while they're gone, and some take a year or so to get their legs back once they return. Any advantages a mission might give a player or program are far outweighed by the risks and negatives. Huh? So, do you see it as an advantage or disadvantage? Huge disadvantage. For every player who benefits from the added maturity of being a little older, three either never return to pre-mission form, lose significant time to injury, or lose their competitive edge. Not to mention the havoc it causes to the positional makeup of the team.

  23. Too expensive for my wallet.
  24. Look up Johnny Stanton, Elite 11. Then look up what school he attends. That's right, we ditched an Elite 11 finalist because he wasn't good enough. Look up this Jameis Winston kid. I've kind of lost track of him. In fact, I heard he may not even be in college anymore. Anyway, after a week of watching both of them, the Elite 11 counselors couldn't decide between Winston and Mangum was better. I guess if it's true that this Winston kid washed out of college, perhaps you might have a point.
  25. Yes, yes, absolutely. Move along, nothing to see here. Oh, please, please, please focus the game plan on stopping the run. That would make me very happy. I wouldn't call this trash talk but at least we finally have a BYU fan with at least a small amount of attitude. +1. I like it. We need a little more smack talk around here. What if they win though? I say we ban them immediately if they come back to gloat, amirite? Ask the Longhorns fans. All my smack comes before the game. I let the game speak for itself. We don't even know what smack talk is. All we know how to say is, "Hope you have a great time in Lincoln! Good luck!" and "Are you having a good time? Good luck!" Yeah, you guys are nothing like the Longhorn degenerates. For instance I have not yet had occasion to reveal any sexual congress I may or may not have had with any of your mothers.
