Can't believe this kid is only 14 yrs old and in 8th grade. And hold up.... I thought coaches weren't allowed to extend offers until Junior year? How can he already have these offers?
verbal offers are ok anytime. written offers cant go out until after they have completed their junior year IIRC.

I will always say this.
If you dont want to work hard and earn your playing time and be part of the team at NU, good luck at your next stop.
sure it would have been good to keep Braylon in Lincoln but sh#t happens.

way to go Husker 3 pitcher No-No awesome!!!
-
why do some of the players have "SIGNED" under the school and not just "Committed"
-
I would rather have a national championship that was decided by coaches of the game instead of sportswiters any day.

Congrats, TOOK YA LONG ENOUGH!
4 years in a combat zone really lowers the daily post average.....compared to the amount of time you spent on HB following, what was it Shoulder Surgery? If i remember right you had close to 3000 posts during your "Rehab time"

Howy Crap. i glanced at my post total and saw that i had 8000 posts. :1000 :1000 :1000 :1000

one thing is for certain. Georgia is going to stack the line of scrimmage and press the receivers with tight man to man coverage and challenge T-Mart to beat them throwing the ball or with his legs. Their D is going to the fasted D that NU has seen this year, and NU's O-line doesnt have the nastiness needed in a power running game.
We had better just forfeit right now huh... From what I remember, we moved the ball well against SC last year, and their D was probably just as fast or faster than UGA's is. And our offense is more explosive now than it was last year. We will be fine.
no, i didnt say that at all. Beck has to be prepared for that type of defense. Normally a team that has a weakness identified, they will work to correct it. If NU coaches do not find something that can be exploited, it could be another long night,
i am more worried about NU's defensive performance in this game than I am the offenses. The offense will score enough points to win the game, but will NU's defense keep UGA score below ours?

back to stadium expansion........any new pictures of either the stadium or the arena?

a good idea that the NCAA will never allow.....because they didnt come up with the idea!

In honesty it did not appear they needed to be freshmen all americans. Just a warm body to get in the way might have helped. We keep saving for a rainey day. I think the CCG counts towards that number.
We now have nothing but freshmen to man the trenches or a possible JC transfer if we can dig one up.
Now the freshmen we are depending on have zero experience. Personally I would rather have a wet behind the ears player that has seen the field than what we are going to be prancing out there. Now if they just are not as good as needs be that is a difference maker, but most are placing a 12 win season on these kids now. Easy schedule you know. Some playing time might have helped that next year, you just never know. But I must say Bo has done everything so perfectly it is hard go question, yea right.
I can see the logic on not throwing them in at the CCG. Sure they would have gotten 1 game's worth of experience but who know what the outcome would have been, and they would have been able to play in the bowl game. So 2 games
never been one that wanted freshmen to play unless they earned the playing time.

always thought that you have to get the best athletes on the field somehow.
-
I'll throw this one out there; Dennard appears to be faster than Martinez. Pretty impressive.
he took a great angle to get TM on the first on, but couldnt quite get there for the second long run.
i'd say they are pretty damn close to the same speed.

if you are thinking Taylor deserved the game ball after throwing 3 INT, then you have to consider the defense as a whole for the 3 critical stops in the 4th qtr. without those stops NU doesnt win
Without Taylor's rushing TDs and Jamal's catch, NU doesnt win.
Team game, team win

Northwestern fans, here is how you solve your problem.
Have a team that wins at least 9 games a rear for nearly 50 years, throw in some undefeated seasons, 5 National Championships and I will promise you that no team will ever take over your stadium.
don't feel bad that Husker fans turned your stadium RED, look what we did to Notre Dame and Touchdown Jesus!

anyone???? anyone???

Stay away from HuskerBoard following a close win.
We all know that it is the coaches fault when a player fumbles the ball or muffs a punt, or gets a personal foul penalty when the other team muffs a punt and NU recovers.

those of you that know me, know that i am in the Army and stationed away from Nebraska. When I have not been deployed, I only make it back for 1-2 games a year. Last year I was able to make it to the NE v IA game. This year I am coming back to NE for Thanksgiving and am looking for tickets to the NE v MN game on Nov 17, which happens to be my wife's birthday.
I am looking for 4 tickets together. If any of you are looking to get rid of tickets because you are not going to use them let me know.

I learned that Memorial Stadium, when full, is more people than the city of Lincoln.
