  1. FWIW, all four playoff teams last year were top 20 in pass efficiency. Only two teams were in the top 25 in run efficiency. Florida State ranked 86th. It's not whether you're calling a pass or run play, its that when you call a play, you execute it efficiently. Nebraska has proven to be able to run the ball, just not consistently. Nebraska has proven to be able to pass the ball, just not consistently. I'll still take 4 losses by a total of 11 points leading 3 of the four games with at least 10 seconds on the clock over more double digit losses than double digit wins and single digit losses any day. People that hang their hat on it being solely an offensive problem seem to forget that the defense has given up the winning score in every game so far. It's not just one thing, there a lots of things that need to be fixed. Be patient. This staff will figure it out. Whining won't help anyone win games.
  2. Guys, I posted those original numbers, but I have been crunching numbers to figure out exactly what we should be analyzing about Bo's staff to figure out the whole picture and be able to see if Mike Riley's approach is better as we see it over time. I'm brand new to the board, but like most of you, am a Husker fan to sometimes ridiculous lengths. As most people said about the attrition levels, I couldn't find the site where those numbers came from or any exact number, but most of what I have looked at is that the general consensus is 38%. However, like others have said, you have to be able to calculate the level of the talent lost/retained. One other thing that I have been paying attention to is when those players have left. Was it as an underclassman or upperclassmen? How many games have they played and how many they have started because experienced players can translate to higher talent in some cases. To do this, I am pulling stats from all four teams Nebraska has lost to, as well as Michigan and Florida, which were the two schools that the author of that article (AKA: biggest Nebraska fan troll that I have ever personally known) was referencing in comparison. If you cross all of this with injury status, so far, it paints some interesting perspective. It does take a lot of time, but I hope to post exact numbers soon.
  3. I wanted to introduce myself. I am the guy that wrote about the recruiting rankings stats on the original page of this thread. I read through it all and it seems about as divided fanbase as it ever was under the previous staff. Hopefully that changes. In response to people that didn't seem to think that Nebraska would go 2-4 this half of MR first season mustve forgotten about that article that Stewart Mandel wrote about 3 months ago saying that it wasn't a stretch for Nebraska to start the season 3-4. Outside of that, I would like to go back to the recruiting/talent level talk discussed earlier where a poster pointed out that the national attrition average was 39%. I couldn't find any evidence supporting this claim outside of analyzing the teams that were in the discussion. I found some interesting results I am going to post once I get home. Stay tuned.
