Read an article earlier today in a Texas newspaper that talked about how happy A&M fans are to get rid of Will Bolt. Evidently, he is not popular at A&M due to the slumping batting averages on the team.
First time I've heard of him NOT having success and first I've heard of fans not liking him.
Heard this also. Rumor was that Childress allocated more scholarships towards front line pitching lately. Not sure if that's accurate...

I'm intrigued to see how the things Bolt brings to the table will help the Huskers take the next step from the foundation laid by Erstad. I think Erstad left the program in a pretty decent spot, add in the fire and energy (among other things needed) Bolt brings and who knows what may be on the horizon.

So... Odds on favorite still Bolt?
All the news seemed to think we’d know by today at absolute latest... Hoping that’s the case.
If I had to guess, I'd say Bolt will be official today or tomorrow. No sources, just a guess

Just start at 9 tomorrow and tempt me into adding a day to the holiday weekend.
Looking at tomorrow's schedule, Huskers may play at 11:30 am. That would put games at 11:30, 3:30, & 7:30

looking at the weather channel it predicts that the thunderstorms will hit between 10 and 11 pm, which will cause a significant delay. either they will play well into the early morning or delay/finish for the 9:00 AM game tomorrow.
Yep. Since they can't start a game after 11pm, I look for a 9am start. Hopefully I'm wrong

So...we’re looking at a 10pm start, aren’t we?
At least the kids should be used to playing ball late into the night, right?
Should be roughly an hour after the conclusion of this game. Have to re-rake the infield, new chalk lines etc.

So, I'm horrible with faces, so who are two dudes behind Mo Barry?
I think Alex Davis (left) and Daishon Neal (right).

Why are we in a discussion board about the Huskers then?
I'm here for rational thoughts and cheese fries.

Do you know Moos personally? How are you so sure? Just wondering because, like I've said a million times, I'm not advocating for anything because I don't know anything about the coaches we could possibly get and doubt anyone on these message boards does either. So far all I've heard is the internet expert's list of this years mid-major coaches who were the best at pummeling cupcakes. Haven't heard about Billy Gillispie coming to town yet.
You do realize you're on a message board right? They are kinda meant for speculation & fanaticism.

Hopefully he is blown away by Nebraska, and cancels his visit to KU. We shouldn’t lose a battle against Kansas — Miles or no Miles. But since he is scheduled to visit right near the later signing period, anything can happened.
I don't think Miles is the main reason for a KU visit. Emmett Jones the new KU WR coach was coaching at South Oak Cliff HS then TT. That seems to be the relationship of note.

Four inches off?! Heck, if people can pull it off, I’m gonna start claiming an extra four inches too.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: There's an obvious and simple way to do an 8 team playoff. 5 slots to the P5 conference champs. 1 slot for the "best" G5 conference champ. 2 slots for independents and other teams. Keep the committee to decide on the 3 non-P5-champs and to seed them 1-8 for the playoffs.
Of course, that's too obvious and simple, so that's never going to happen.
I think the top G5 school should have to be within the top 12 or so to make the playoff. If the highest ranked G5 is a 9-3 Boise State ranked 21st, then 3 at large teams from P5.
