i just miss the days when penalties made sense. when they served a purpose. now it is to penalize anything the refs think is too much or unnecessary, or something.

I was against the targeting rule because of this. An abundance of judgement calls leads to an abundance of questionable calls. I like bowling. The refs never make a bad call.

Idk why any coach with Bo's contract would resign. If I was in his position and thought I would be fired, I'd make them fire me and take the buy out.

On a fake field goal, is the holder allowed to catch the ball with his knee on the ground? Because the holder caught it, knee down, then tossed the ball to the kicker... Shouldn't that have been down at the spot? Would have been a game changer, I think it was a missed call.

My List:

1) Ameer Abdullah is very good at football. Very very very good.

2) Randy Gregory is also very good at football.

3) I have no worries about the defense going forward. None. Next year is going to be a fun year.

4) I am ready to watch Johnny Stanton control a game with power running. Tommy likes to fumble.

5) Beck may be gone, and Paps is gonna leave on his own.

6) The referees were beyond awful. Beyond the line of scrimmage? lol okay. Fake fg? Oh, holder's knee was down. You can't toss the ball when your knee is down.

7) Bo Pelini deserves many more years as the Nebraska football coach. The empty seats are a concern. Coordinating needs improvements.

8) Michigan State's defense isn't good.

I've seen a lot of stats thrown around, but I'm wondering if anybody can tell me the type of offense that Michigan State runs?

 

They power run until it doesn't work, then they throw an incomplete pass and hope you muff the punt.

Did you just wake up out of a coma?? Everyone has known this has been a problem for awhile now. Even crazier is its not just us. Watch football at any level, tackling sucks!! I was drilled at a young age to wrap up and drive. It was something that stuck with me my entire football career. Its simple, its just not being taught well or drilled into kids memories near enough now.

Apparently you missed the Stanford/Oregon game... Stanford missed maybe 3 tackles the entire game.

Just read Kenny Bells twitter and you'll see the damage "the greatest fans in college football" are doing to the players. Makes me wanna puke.

I support Kenny Bell. And the players. I'm gonna keep enjoying Nebraska football games and supporting the players regardless of what happens.

However. Come on Kenny.. You gotta get off twitter, or grow up.

You say things like "I'm a grown man. And I signed up for a game where I know the consequences."

Oh really? Then why are you throwing a 140 character tizzy about fans being harsh when you let touchdown passes fly through your hands in the endzone? What do you expect? You're a grown man. You know the consequences of the game. You should certainly know, as a grown man, that if you don't perform to the best of your ability, negativity is going to follow. That's part of life. And certainly part of football. Time to take some criticism to heart and get better.

We need to wait til season is over, but it needs to happen.

The regularity in which Thad ends up 5 yards away from the line of scrimmage in the wrong direction is just mind blowing. He would be better served just like. Falling down right at the snap. And hoping someone trips on him.

No. It's because every single game I watch he gets picked on more than any player on the field. Having SJB on the other side of the field certainly doesn't help, but Mitchell seems to get beat more often than not, or makes some boneheaded mistake otherwise.
