  1. Us Michigan fans will remember this one for a long time. Congratulations on a well deserved victory. Your QB was fearless and once you started running the ball, we really didn't have much of an answer. The bad calls went both ways, but I was glad to hear Herbstreit and Turrico calling it like they saw it-it was disgraceful and none of those criminals who officiated the game should ever be allowed to put on the stripes for an NCAA foorball game again. That being said, you beat us-congratualtions. Hope to see you in a BCS game next year.
  2. Seriously-where did Osborne vote Michigan in the Coach's poll in '97? I'm asking because I don't know if he ever disclosed his vote. I assume he voted NU #1 and Michigan#2, but I don't know if he ever made that public. Carr voted Michigan #1 and NU #2.
  3. Two words-Charles Woodson. Fuhlmer, Manning and the rest of the cowards laid down in the 2nd half, still in a snit over a more deserving Woodson beating out Little Lord Fauntleroy Manning for the Heisman. Michigan had a future NFL QB (Griese-with Brady in the wings if needed); and no less than 15 future NFL players on the team that season. The only reason NU was undefeated at all was a blown call by the officials in the Mizzou game. Question-where did Coach Osborne vote Michigan in the coach's poll that year? Conventional wisdom had Fat Phil Fuhlmer voting Michigan #5, allowing NU to squeak out a few % point lead in the ESPN/USA Today/Coach's Poll. We can debate all day who had the better team that year-but c'mon...voting Michigan #5 was either a) vindictive or B) retarded.
