How many years has it been since we legitimately forced a fumble? The last one a remember is Gerry knocking one out on Melvin Gordon like 4 years ago.
Happy I brought this up

Washington, AM, Speilman will be a good time for the next 2 years.
-
JD. Please stay 2 more years.

I really don’t think having a different DC would’ve solved our problems this year. A lot of the breakdowns is LB missing a run fit or 21 getting burned.

Pretty sure the way we’ve played and shot ourselves in the foot it doesn’t matter if a walk on or scholarship player is in. QB is really the only position I am concerned about, Martinez scramble ability bails out the O frequently.
-
I am hoping the offense figured out what works well in the second half and we build on it through the remainder of the year. Until that interception we looked unstoppable.
Makes me excited for the future with 2 more years of the Martinez to Speilman connection.

Too bad we don’t have two 6’7”+ TEs you can throw to in the end zone

That is just so pathetic.

I would like to give you a -1 for the bolded!
If he does.........we are 0-4. Gotta get to him early and often.
Agreed. I’d give myself a -1 as well. Hopefully we break the cycle today and get the W!

I’m hoping the offensive line. Sadly when I read the headline I immediately thought David Blough...

I just want 4 quarters replicating what we did against Colorado in the 2nd quarter. Just pound the living piss out of the ball and grind out 400+ rushing yards. Not likely, but that would be quite satisfying.

I mean we have the best S&C coach and the best sports nutrition coach, I think they need more then a couple months to get the ship righted. Although, I was convinced we would’ve had a pulse against Michigan...

It’s far too early in the season to know if we were better last year. I’ll let you know in December

Ok Bunch is no bueno

Random thought from thinking back about the game. Did anyone else think Tyjon Lindsey looked slow on his punt returns?

I want to see more of Deontai Williams. The hit @37:45 on the 2pt conversion was niiiiiice

Ozigbo literally got stopped on his 4th down try
Doesn't mean he's not the best option

I feel a lot more confident with Bunch then I did a couple of years ago when Fyfe had to start when Armstrong was injured. Mostly because that offense we so inept and Armstrong covered up a lot of things by extending plays.

You can still be positive and know that Bunch isn't winning the West, it's ok.
This year was always about culture shift and learning how to do things for the future. Wins will be nice, but focus on the big picture even without them.
The sky isn't falling even if AM is out for the year.
Frost and coaches will gameplan accordingly to tailor the offense to fit Bunch’s strengths and abilities. Luckily we have a good WR group that can make his life a little bit easier. We definitely lose some of explosiveness in our run game, but all we need it someone to protect the ball and be efficient.

Offensive Line and RBs better be ready to carry the load.

People saying settle down because we were never going to make the playoff this year. Yeah, we know. We're pissed because if we weren't 3-0 after the Troy game we're REALLY going to struggle to make a bowl game, and that's SUPER important for momentum going in to next year. I believe we NEED to get 6 wins this year to build some positive momentum for this program when there hasn't been much for a long time
I don’t know if that’s true, Purdue and Northwestern don’t look that great this year. Michigan State is winnable as well.

Learned that while Bell is a serviceable RB, he doesn’t have that extra gear that can turn a turn a 40 yard run into a 80 yard run.
Curious why miles jones didn’t get a shot today
