I keep reading what Scott Frost needs to do about hiring Asst. Coaches does anybody realize that every coach on Alabama staff makes more money then our OC. The only coach thats on our staff that makes more money then anyone on Alabama staff is our DC but he makes $700k less then their DC . The fact of the matter is this until Nebraska pays big time money for Asst. too this is what we have .  The choice is up to the boosters it cost money to be a big time program.

Actually this is a really good point....  I'm pretty sure the O-line got blown up on the very next play after he went out IIRC.

Actually Martinez was sacked when Benhart missed his pick up on linebacker blitzing off edge.

Domann, Taylor-Britt, Dismuke, Williams, Stille for sure. That’s a damn good group. Then throw in there Tannor, Thomas, and possibly Daniels. That’s a lot of guys that would be severely missed..

CMT should be only Junior leaving maybe Daniels but Tannor and Thomas won’t leave both will be starters next year. We have good back up for guys leaving Domann will be biggest loss.

Usually it takes me at least 3-4 days to start drinking kool-aid again, you just took it to a new level. Unfortunately my fear is we are close this year, but we lose a ton on defense and I just don’t see why Adrian would come back. Then next year the excuse will be that “we’re young”.

We only lose 4 guys on defense next year and return everyone on offense except Toure with an easier schedule.

According to Nicole Griffith Twitter AM thought the play was over....... that makes it even more frustrating

Watch 97 on the play while they were holding he dives right for his knee.

The defense came out of halftime and let a really bad Illinois team push them around and put the game out of reach. That was a team wide meltdown.

Arguably, the offense has played well enough for us to be 3-1. The defense played well enough for us to be 3- 1.

I'm looking at you, Special Teams.

I would agree defense didn’t play a great 2nd half against Illinois but good enough they should of won if not for special teams and turnover for touchdown.

  7. I know the losses are getting frustrating and I also know people are going to say no excuses just win and I agree with that too. If you look at our top 44 players we have 5 seniors out of them 1wr 2 Safety 1 DL 1 Rover so if you look from a positive view say we go 4-3 rest of the way and end up 6-6 and return 39 of our top players I see the program heading right direction would liked to see us win last night not going to lie. Do I think some assistant coaches should be replaced maybe but the program is heading in right direction just taking a little longer then expected.

  8. Why are we talking about firing the coach 5 games into a season it’s ridiculous. Are the losses frustrating yes but let’s be honest the team is playing hard and being competitive the defense is great and super young the Oline is terrible and needs work but if we can that together we’ll be alright . We start 2 freshmen tackles both are getting exposed right now our right guard is terrible and we’ve benched our starting left guard already. The whole problem with this team is Oline and special teams play . Let’s see how the final 7 games play out before we talk firing.

    Scoreboard matters.

Yes it does but if you knew football it’s not the defense fault. They held Oklahoma to lowest point total in Lincoln Riley career. In the two losses the defense has given up 21 points that definitely good enough to win.

  10. I’m not making excuses for the O line but one team started 5 seniors 3 redshirt and all got a free extra year of covid too so that means 5 and 6 yr guys the other oldest guy was a redshirt Jr in 4 start ever.  We got some talent on the Oline but only Cam really has a lot of experience hopefully each week it gets better. I think last year the way this group ran the ball against Rutgers is what everyone expected this year.

  11. Michigan St is 3-0 and has played 3 bad teams. To me this a game we have to win to make a bowl game. I understand their better than last year but we got to have this game a win here and a win against Northwestern puts us at 4-2 with Michigan coming to Nebraska that would put us in a good spot to have a good season . By looking at stats we should be able to throw the ball on them . Hopefully line improves this week so we can run the ball better to set up play action.

Week in week out, he doesn’t get it done. Dude.

Obviously you have no clue Nebraska defense from the last half of last year and first 4 game this year has been really good.  Today the defense gave up 21 to one of the top teams in country . When you say the defense doesn’t get it done you should say the offense cause the defense has played good enough for us to be 4-0 .

Frost has succeeded at brining in talent but failed miserably at bringing in competent coaching. Frost now has an uphill battle to finish above .500 this season which is what I believe he needs to do to get a 5th year. The remaining schedule is brutal and I am not sure there is a single remaining game on the schedule where Nebraska would be considered a clear favorite.  I am seeing a 4-8 finish on the season which should make it easier for Trev to move in a new direction.

So after playing the #3 team in country and beside Ohio St away more talented team then anybody else on our schedule to a 7 point game  you see 4-8 . I think if we play this hard and clean up a couple penalty we can play and beat anybody left on the schedule .

Our 3 running backs had a grand total of 55 yards on 19 rushes for eye popping average of 2.9 yd/rush. So yeah, the option game would work splendidly when your OL is owning the LOS like we do.

That’s exactly what I was saying

Need to start seriously thinking about running the option again take it or leave it. Keep in mind right now we are the worst team in cfb if you factor in our history, our facilities, our fambase, the fact we have been consistently getting top 25 recruiting classes vs the product we are putting on the field.

Say whatever you want we aren't this bad if we were running the option at this point you have nothing to lose

Its hard to run the option when you’re getting blown off the ball and can’t run.
