    @schuhbdoo How is spiking the ball not intentional grounding? The quarterback is in the pocket, it doesn't get to the LOS, and he is not throwing it to anyone.

      I knew it was an exception, I just think about how different the game would be if it was illegal.

      So, could a QB seeing great coverage spike the ball in anticipation of a coverage sack, before the pressure gets to him?

      I'd love to see that happen just to see what the ref does. Although penalties aren't reviewable.
