Bump again. This was three pages deep through Texas Tech Junk. Keep voting, it makes the pain go away.
-
Bump...because he needs it!?
-
Voted! I wonder if/when the university or coaches will start pushing for it?
-
+1 for number 2. Everyone I was sitting with noticed too. Poor guy looked like he got robbed.
-
Saw the throwback jerseys at the huskers authentic store next to the stadium. I think they were $110.

So I know Eli Manning has always used "Omaha" as part of his cadence, but tonight Romo was using Omaha, Pelini, and Nebraska all in one play. Collinsworth made a comment about how it used to be Lincoln, but now "everyone loves that word" (Omaha) as part of their cadence. I wonder why it is so popular? Bigger city with no team? Number of syllables? Subliminal messaging to start a franchise here? lol

Ugh. Why can't we try a Red-out if everyone wants a B-out so bad. The mono-chromatic stadium is sweet, but it should be red, not black. Why not support the offense AND the defense by wearing red...I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

I haven't done much looking since graduating. I used to just go into the rec and watch from the side, but those days are gone. I'll have to check that out. I know there are normally people selling tickets outside the coliseum, too. Thanks for the info.
-
We would have the attendance record, but that would stop the sellout streak. Cook doesn't want to move from the Coliseum because of the atmosphere, but I'd sure like to get a ticket every once in awhile.

That sidebar list is only of teams that are in the AP top 25. A&M did make the story's top 25.

Kansas fan petitioning not for Kansas, but against Mizzou.

Here is another poll on ESPN. Nebraska is currently ranked 21st.
http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/ballot/_/id/3874/120-40
Which 40 teams should make up our new Division I-A?
"Sometimes you just accumulate too much stuff over the years. Like old magazines. Or outdated furniture. Or Football Bowl Subdivision teams.
It's time to clean house and build a new Division I-A.
In these tough economic times, we all have to cut back. We've taken it upon ourselves to trim the fat from the college football landscape and narrow the club down to the best of the best. No more cupcake schedules, guaranteed wins, running up the score or statement games against teams that can't speak up for themselves.
Below you'll find all 120 teams that participate on the FBS gridiron. Your job is to select the 40 that should remain. Should you select the 40 best all-around teams? Maybe the 35 best and five with potential to be great? We'll leave that up to you.
Just click on the 40 teams you want and see how the rest of SportsNation has voted.
Find out which teams make ESPN.com's cut when Pat Forde, Ivan Maisel and Mark Schlabach conduct a mock draft Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET."

Hey all, couldn't find a discussion on it, but CBS in Nebraska is replaying the Gator Bowl. Still in the 1st. Why can't this season start already!!!!
-
I'm not an insider, but Suh is in a collage regarding the top 25. The portion anyone can read likens Tebow to Frazier. Should be an interesting read for those on the "inside." Feel free to report anything good!

I'm a big Tiger fan, surprised?, but I was really pulling for Duval. He was big on the scene right when I started getting into golf, and I liked the rivalry he had with Tiger. I think with Tiger out almost the whole tourney, and with the terrible weather and oddly timed rounds we were able to see a lot of other golfers. I love watching Adam Scott. I really wish he would take that next step. Wouldn't have minded Phil winning one either. Many possible miracles left out on that course. Too bad weather messed things up, but Glover deserved it.

Watched it at work today. This is a HUGE win for us. The heads on ESPN are saying it's easily a top 10 win for us all time. I hope it continues to grow, and maybe we won't continue to be embarrassed on the world stage. It's about time people took our team seriously.

I'm N. Last one as a student.

I second the need for offense. We got pretty lucky the pitchers were on against the white sox. I'm a little worried about getting the bats going. I'm really hoping gordon and crew can get hot.
-
Good thing no one asked you to be coach, then. Yeah, it was over the top, but it sure as hell won him a bunch of fans. Not too shabby for an OL. Why must the pot always be stirred? Don't worry, if he lands on an NFL roster, he won't have the smeared eye black anymore. It's all over.

Yes! Found myself!
10 people south of the band 5 rows up from the four standing up in the stands. Roommate has gray coat clapping and I have black coat white/red baseball hat. this is pretty cool. Found some other friends too. This is straight outta CNN's vault of creepy tech.

I didn't agree with some of Pryor's decision making last night, either. I read a big breakdown of Green on ESPN's recruiting section-I know they are all full of crap 100% of the time BUT- they said he has a very awkward throwing motion and needs to work on his accuracy. They actually see him as a potential WR instead of QB. I know many here already know this analysis, but some do not.
My hope is that he plays to his potential. He seems like a real gamer, and THAT is a great quality.
That's funny, because I think ESPN should go back and breakdown Pryor again, because last night it looked like he would be a better WR who can run the Wildcat O. His throwing is horrible, his technique is WAY off. Seriously, if his throwing doesn't get better(esp if "The Vests" Defense goes down a little) he may have to switch positions and give QB to someone who can throw to him. JMO.
I agree with that, but he is also a true Freshman. I can't believe they didn't keep Boekman (sp?) in more. Granted, it all came down to the last drive, but it seemed towards the end of the game Pryor didn't even want to throw the ball. He's one hell of an athlete, but would need to develop as a WR or QB. He-Pryor- had a good, efficient year, but we currently throw the ball more than Ohio State. Many here are claiming they want Green to come in and start right away. I am saying I know nothing about him other than what I read...and that can lead to unjust assessments of talent. Hopefully he can get here, learn the system quickly, and contribute in any way to make our team better. He can throw to himself for all I care.

I don't see where the "we were only good in the 90's bs comes from." We are the 4th winningest program...that means more wins than USC. It's Michigan, TX, ND, and the Big Red. Fans are so damn shortsighted..

Saw him in the skills challenge. Any reason why it listed him as having a top five instead of being committed to us?

Bump. We need to win something.
