I have said this in other places but UCF's defense not only played the #2 scoring offense and another top offense the last couple weeks.  They also were likely bone tired from 12 straight weeks of football games.  As the players said they try to leave everything they have on the field each game.   Doing that with no breaks is mind numbing. I say the coaches and players did a great job. 

Some may say this sounds like an excuse and it is.  I think it is a pretty good one but SF, Chinander, the players, and the fans want great defense.  They will be working hard to do that for each other and for us.

They also played 12 weeks without a break.

I like Sharp too. He does a good job. 

Next coach is not going to be so magical we are playing for a title in year 2.  Too many bad habits to break with current players.

I don't think the team knows how to fight over the entire season let alone one 4 quarter game right now.  That culture needs to be brought back.

I have said before the next HC no matter who it is is going to have a very hard time.  A very hard time breaking bad work habits and training in a new system.  I don't expect the next coach to have a winning season until year 2 or 3.  Those are my expectations of the next HC.

He does have the ability.  I hope it happens but I'm realistic it may take 25 years to get 3 NCs.

Scott Frost has the ability to be every bit as good.

Meyer is a great coach!

The talent has to be perfection hounds.  If they don't want to put in the effort every game you can't win.

I'm pretty sure he has his guy locked up and ready to be announced with that new coach is ready to leave his current school.

I think the AD is wise in sticking with Riley until the end because the target is not on him to have a coach announced . 

I bet SF knows how to make this thread better.

Well most of it is just rambling speculation and even I got tired of reading it.  So i only view it once in awhile.

Lots of rumors for sure.  I hope it is SF.

Good talent with great coaching is the way to go.  There are a few great players but most are about the same.  You need a great coach to guide the talent.  We had a string of very good running backs who ended up playing in the NFL because they had good talent and a great position coach in Ron Brown.
