I heard he is down to Nebraska and Northwestern. I really like our chances here.

Wouldn't this hurt some of those team's chances of making it to March Madness?
No because the only way these teams make it is if they win their conference tournaments and non conference games don’t affect their seeding. Unless they are talking about teams like vcu, st bonaventure, st Mary’s, Richmond, Dayton, or others good enough to get a bid without winning their conference.

Creighton, Nebraska, Virginia, Michigan State, and North Carolina are his 5 OVs. Taking a UV to Creighton today.Actually the article says Oklahoma is likely to be the 5th official visit instead of creighton.

Congrats to GT on the commitment of MJ Morris
How come you think he’s GT bound? I mean I can see it but do you have any information on it?

He will be at the spring game today.

We are rumored to be getting a guard transfer tomorrow via Robin Washut. If I were to take a wild guess I would throw out the name Greg Williams from St. John’s. He was recruiting by Matt Abdelmassey and would be a good fit for our style of play.
A source says that this unknown transfer guard fell through last night and we will move on to our next targets.

I still don’t know how he chose the Hoosiers when they have two starting point guard caliber players coming back in Khristian Landers and Robert Phinisee.

Hearing that he may commit to us very soon. Would be a phenomenal piece to add to our 2022 class. He would also add momentum for future classes.

In my opinion he is definitely not D1 material.

I know he’s staying at unl for the spring semester to graduate but I find it interesting his name has not been added to the transfer portal via verbal commits. If he eventually does I expect a similar move to what Cam Mack did when going to Prarie View A&M or I could see Allen just heading oversees to play basketball

True, but do you really expect anyone to try to use all five years of eligibility?
Yes

Probably not a bad thing. It forces him to take a redshirt year.
What do you mean? Eligibility does not count this year

Zero chance we play this Saturday.
Zero chance the B1G would allow it even if we could find a team to play (doubtful) and even if we could prepare for a Saturday game beginning on Wednesday afternoon ( not feasible).
What makes anyone think the B1G would even consider this after the fits and spasms they had when we suggested playing non-cons a couple months ago?I too am highly disappointed and pissed off but expecting to fill this spot with a non-con is just ridiculous.
We already made a deal with chattanooga. We are just waiting for the big ten to approve. We would pay Chattanooga 200,000. There is an opening on BTN for a night game. Seems like this might just happen.

Updated field
Western Kentucky is Dalano Banton’s old team so that would be interesting to play them.

Houston just landed a top 150 big yesterday so this could be us maybe? CB's are to UH but that is dated.
I agree that Houston is most likely out but seton hall and Virginia tech have huge needs for bigs. I view Wilhelm Breidenbach as our most likely 2021 addition

Yeah man. He’s already proving to be in the elite of the elite on the trail. Getting Cisse after it was basically guaranteed to go to Auburn was an unreal get. And he had Jalen Green in the bag until the G-League came at the last second.
Going to go into STL tomorrow and get Nesbitt too. Makes it even harder for us to make inroads there. Penny was always going to get the elite 5* types’ attention because of who he is but now that he’s also focused on 4* multi-year players to supplement those guys on their roster... look out.
Auburn wasn’t even in Cisse’s top 6, it was LSU. And Memphis missed on most of their top targets last year and this year(Greg Brown, Jalen Green, Chet Holmgren, JD Davidson). But otherwise I agree with you.

Also Eric Bossi from Rivals has put in a futurecast for Nebraska. This would be our biggest get out of high school in more than a decade.

He won’t go to Kentucky, they just received a 4 star point guard commit today(Nolan Hickman) and are likely to reclassify a 2022 five star point guard(Skyy Clark). I still view North Carolina as the leaders because most likely Caleb Love leaves for the NBA after his lone season and they have no backup plan if they lost out on Sallis. I feel like Kansas and Nebraska are right on their heels coming in as 2nd and 3rd as of now. Gonzaga, Oregon, Louisville, and Kentucky should all be fine at point guard and that should stray Sallis away from them.

Added offers from Wisconsin, Stanford, Iowa State, and Oklahoma State. Those offers as well as Nebraska, Creighton, Missouri, and Kansas State after just finishing his sophomore year is impressive. Hope his recruitment doesn’t become too big for the huskers to compete for his signature.

Saw a tweet where Miami Northwestern HC was fired and staff suspended for a year for practicing during stay at home orders. Crazy if true. Just means more.
Just googled it and they are still investigating it. So far the HC has been suspended and not fired yet. No word on the rest of the staff yet. This is not good to hear since it is arguably our biggest pipeline.
