Did Nana redshirt this year? didnt know we had any this year.

He didn't, but Miles wanted him to.  Miles wanted Nana & Thor to both redshirt, but left it up to them.  They have combined to play about 40 minutes.  They both wasted a year of eligibility.

Don't count on Brady H. next year, Jordy would eat him alive.

My understanding is that Heiman will redshirt next year.  He & Miles both said that when he signed.  If we don't sign another big in the spring, Borchardt will be the 2nd option if we go to a more traditional line up.

Allen is probably more of a 1 than an off-guard but until we see what Xavier can bring to the table I think Watson and Allen will play together.

If Nana stays and can bring anything to the table he should get some minutes at the 2. The little bit I have heard about him isnt overly positive but is mainly Board chatter.

Nana has ridiculous hops and is a decent outside shooter (based on what I see in warm ups).  The reason Miles wanted him to redshirt was so he could pick up defensive concepts.  Hopefully a year in the program has helped with that.

Only 4 of these teams are getting in. I think as of today we would be the last team in. I don't like how the B10 is done so early though, can only hurt our chances. We obviously will have to beat Michigan to get into the tournament.

    ON THE BUBBLE

    1. Louisville (19-10) 7th ACC: (1)Virginia, @ NC St
    2. USC (21-9) 2nd P12: UCLA
    3. Baylor (17-12) 6th B12: Oklahoma, @ Kansas St
    4. Nebraska (22-9) 4th B10
    5. Syracuse (18-11) 10th ACC: @ BC, (18)Clemson
    6. UCLA (19-10) 4th P12: @ USC
    7. Mississippi State (21-8) 3rd SEC: (16)Tennessee, @ LSU
    8. Texas (17-12) 8th B12: (20)West Virginia
    9. Boise State (22-6) 2nd MWC: @ SDSU, Wyoming
    10. Washington (19-10) 6th P12: Oregon St, Oregon
    11. Utah (18-10) 4th P12: Colorado
    12. Notre Dame (17-12) 10th ACC: Pitt, @ (1)Virginia

Of the 12 teams listed I would take NU over Baylor, Syracuse, Texas, Boise State, Washington Utah & Notre Dame.  I know that wouldn't put NU in the tournament, but most of those team shouldn't even be on the bubble.

Next question: How do they determine the top 75?

I read somewhere that they picked 75 because no team with an RPI over 75 has ever made the tournament.  Yes there have been teams with RPI's in the 70's that made it.

  6. I'd be shocked if Corey Sanders is back at Rutgers.  There is no chance he gets drafted by the NBA but based on his actions in their game in Lincoln, he is on the team in name only.  He didn't participate in huddles if he wasn't in the game and he didn't go into the locker room before the game when the team would have been getting their last instructions about 10 minutes before the game started.

Any chance Xavier Johnson can play 2 guard? dude looks super athletic. If we can manage to get everyone to stay, we'd only really need to replace a spot for Taylor or gill ( assuming Johnson can play that position). Excited to see what we can do again next year.

Nana or Thor could play the 2 if they have figured out the defensive scheme.  Nana is crazy athletic with a decent shot & Thor is a little less athletic and has great range.

Interesting isn't the word to describe having to root for Kansas and Kansas State. I'll probably need to shower after having to side with those two schools.

I found myself cheering for Duke over Syracuse over the weekend and felt like I was cheering for Russian dopers at the Olympics.

Nope. Actually we were picked 13th and Ohio State was picked 11th. The difference is that OSU is easily in Tournament with a good seed and we still need to win and a bubble team. I would be shocked if it’s not Holtmann

They will also take into account that Holtmann took over in June and is in his first year at OSU.  I would be shocked if Miles isn't 2nd in the voting though.

So all 4 of lunardi first four 4 out lost and 2 of the last 4 in lost. Wonder where lunardi puts us on the next update

Considering earlier this week PSU moved up and Michigan moved down after Michigan won at PSU, my guess is he won't include them at all.

When NU won the 1996 NIT Championship, it just made me even more upset that the team was full of talent yet underachieved so much during the regular season.

They also boycotted practice because they were pissed at Nee.  My dad was in the maintenance department at Devaney at the time and the only person who showed up for practice was Lue.  Everyone else was meeting with the AD to complain about Nee.

lunardi is not that great when it comes to "bracketologists". Go to bracketmatrix.com and look at their bracket rankings. Top 5 there are incredibly accurate.

I understand that he's not that good, but you would think there was some logic to his decisions.  PSU loses to Michigan at home and PSU moves up & Michigan moves down follows no logic whatsoever.  Maybe he consults with Bozo the Clown, Miss Cleo, Richard Simmons & Diana Ross' psychic friends when doing his updates.

  13. Yesterday on Lunardi's bracket, NU was 4th on the "first four out" & PSU 1st on "next four out".  Today, after PSU lost at home to Michigan, they have flipped.  He also dropped Michigan's seed.  It seems like he is randomly making decisions without looking at actual results.

  14. If the Huskers beat Indiana tonight & PSU beats Michigan tomorrow, Nebraska will be the 4 seed no matter how the NU/PSU game comes out.

PSU & Indiana can get to 11 conference wins if they win out so NU needs one win to assure themselves of finishing above both of them + they have the tiebreaker against Michigan, so them winning and Michigan losing assures that the worst case scenario is they end up tied and NU gets 4th based on the tiebreaker.

Nebraska? Who was suspended? I vaguely remember Tony Farmer being questioned about his eligibility, but he played in the tournament game.

Here is the box score.  I don’t see anyone suspended from the game.

Ramos ( part time starting point guard) didn't play & I don't remember Farmer playing but it was nearly 30 years ago.

That '90-01 team made a run to the finals of the Big 8 Tournament, which would have added 2 wins to their season total.  That team was 24-6 in the regular season.

I was a freshman in high school that year, and that team was so fun to watch and follow all year long.  They had to play a very late game on Friday night of the NCAA tournament, and didn't play well.  Xavier also shot very well that night (54% from the field, and 6 of 14 from 3's.  It's too bad NU couldn't get past that 1st game, because they had the talent to make a deep run.

They also had two starters suspended for taking extra benefits during the week before the tournament.

Stays one more year? His draft chances are highly unlikely

So were Petteway's after his junior year but he left. What Palmer should do is declare, find out what the NBA advisory committee thinks he needs to work on come back and work on it over the summer.
