Not Scott Frost because he's a career .500 coach.
that's a quixotic synecdoche because Scott is 62 and has 20 years under his belt, oh wait...

Riley is not a great coach and will never lead us to a championship, the first is a fact based on his total history including 2 years here, the other is conjecture based on that fact.
The only questions are, is there enough evidence to rid us of him, and would we be foolish enough to allow the guy who thought it'd be a good idea to hire him, be involved in replacing him?
Answers, based on what I'm reading is No and Yes
my answers- no-not yet, and hell no.

Wow- I love the discussions, very insightful.
attempts to rationalize through circular logic and repeated flawed comparisons are fascinating.
This isn't meant to diss anyone, just an observation, as one poster put it.

I'm not sure it'll really matter much how we play going into a badger match-up there will be plenty of concern to share

Yes, and you're missing teach's intent: that he wants Riley to retire regardless of results.
That's fine, however, I'm not a mind reader- so if you want to inject your subjective "intent" into his statement then say that clearly, because as the statement was written the intent of the statement was "either or" and NOT a "both are true" proposition.

Right now I hope Mediocre Mike does one of two things...
1. Goes 11-1, makes the playoff, wins the NC and retires.
2. Finishes the season with some lame record and retires.
Is cherry picking the same as not including the intent of an over-all statement

That's exactly what he said. I'll bold it for you:
does the preface "one" of two things mean anything in this statement?
just saying

You really would want a coach that wins the NC to immediately retire? No, you wouldn't. Your schtick is getting old.
uhhh that's not what he said- one or the other is what comes to mind

And was .333 in the 9 games before that 10 game stretch.
and .500 prior to all that, but hey we knew all that going in so is there any point in bringing up facts at this juncture?
Did the press ever actually ask Eikhorst about MR's record? if so, does anyone have the video

Here is an idea for Eikhorst. He can petition the BIG for awarding participation trophies.
It'd have a blank space to scribe the actual place you finished up in.
He could then claim we're winning conference titles and fans could see the results-I'd say its a win-win situation.

We're number 3 has a nice sound to it
we're #4? not so much

Speaking of Grampa, just look at the old man of the plains south of Lincoln- decent teams year in and year out, all that without Calibraska talent or pro-style sets.
Of course Grampa Synder is a witch and has a winning record
-
I've said this in another post but it warrants repeating:
Got to get rid of the boob who thought bringing in a 62 year dude with an even record was a good idea, before we fire Grampa, because based on that decision I wouldn't let Eikhorst choose my toilet paper let alone another coach
-
the question is too open, and should be more specific- Who should we hire for a new AD? is the real question-, because if we do this out of order we'll get another loser , albeit nice, old boob for a coach
