I see some like to live in fantasy rumors.

So this is obviously another false rumor.

Gary Sharpe on 1620 mentioned he was hearing it a lot.
Same guy that said Frost to UF close to being a done deal?

To expand on this:
Sean Callahan contacted a Tennessee rivals guy who seems to think Frost is going to Nebraska. Marcus Mariota, who plays in Tennessee, has said the same. Mariota also said it was common knowledge while at Oregon that Frost loved Nebraska and it was his “dream job”.
Callahan said Texas A&M would worry him if it opened up. But their writers have not heard Frost mentioned at all in their circles. They are mainly looking at a “established P5 coach”.
A&M would be an attractive job, but I agree with others that his name isn't coming up as one of their targets at all right now. They will be looking to land a Jimbo Fisher type.

Trolling to get a reaction out of people. Not cool.

Final predictions
Gruden to Tenn
Frost to Neb
Kelly to Florida.
Gruden is out of the picture now for TN. They gave a strong push to try and get him this week but didn't work. He doesn't want to coach college football.
Mullen to TN
Frost to NE
Kelly to FL

You honestly think Frost is so arrogant that he is walking around the UCF offices (where he currently works, mind you)bragging about the offers he has gotten, really?
We made fun of that rumor yesterday. It was good for some laughs.

I understand the situation at hand. I’m asking why a random board member from gator country needs to be posted in this thread. He isn’t important, he isn’t an AD, he isn’t a member of the media, he isn’t someone who is in the meetings. He is a random board member who claims to have insider information, which he doesn’t, like the 100’s that post the same regurgitated stuff.
He isn't your random idiot on RSS spew a bunch of BS. He is a trusted insider for Florida forums.
That Rivals insider that I post info from is a lawyer at the University. The insider at 247 that I post info from is a former Florida player.

Not to be a dick, but what does a post from a random gator country user have to do with Scott Frost?
You serious? UF was all hot and heavy about wanting Scott Frost and didn't get him. So they have turned to Chip Kelly. Once the Florida job is officially filled then there isn't any other competition out there right now for Scott Frost besides him staying at UCF. TN isn't on the table.
Arky isn't going to be after Scott Frost. If there is a job that opens that people cause some stress would be FSU, but by the time that job would open, if Jimbo left to A&M, would be too late since Scott Frost would be off to Nebraska by then (officially or not officially).
That A&M job will get some interest if it indeed opens up.

BenTrillGriffin said: ↑Yessir, when I initially got word of Chip - which was the 10th the hire had already been cleared by SEC. That news didn't even come out till days later on the internet. My initial timeline was Monday at the earliest, end of the week at the latest based on what I was told. Tomorrow we see.
I've talked to my folks daily since then to see what's going on and it's literally contracts. Chip and his people want what they want, and they want it all in writing. Then I got the assistants being vetted piece.
So between Friday and now there have been things thrown into the negotiation that Chip wants, and that UF wants to do their due diligence on before committing to. Be it facilities, incentives, assistants (who they are, what is the budget to pay them), etc. This whole week has been contract talk. The difference between what's happening now and say Coach Boom and Coach Mac is a bigger fish. A guy that's been around, a guy that has a plan of action already that require certain pieces, this dude literally knows exactly what he wants to do and how he wants to go about it. He knows how to win and knows what he'll need to win here.
Outside of "it's being ironed out, it's happening, be patient" I got nothing. Once both sides get the legal mumbo where they want it it'll be announced. I don't think he's asking for anything outlandish to make UF back off.
No news is good news right now. Because the only other news that could come about outside of the hire being announced is that things fell through. We'd rather it be quiet while they hash out the details. -
Why does it matter that I am a female? This thread is about Scott Frost coming to Nebraska.

After watch Big Red Wrap-up and listening to Matt Davison talk, you almost got the feeling that he knows Frost will be the Head Coach
That smirky smile in the end stood out to me. Otherwise no non-verbal communication that stood out. His confidence in Frost sure was there there.

There is no talk of Davison leaving Husker radio. He has been 100% non-committal about Frost. If anything, he's been a little less than enthusiastic about possibility of Scott coming to Nebraska. Doesn't mean Frost isn't coming, but if you're looking for Davison to be your tell, that's not currently happening.
That isn't what Sean was saying this morning.

I know this is off topic, but this would make sense for Arkansas. No worries about Frost and Arkansas. I think Bret should take a lower P5 job where he can compete at.

Supposedly Florida and Tennessee Rivals guys are saying that Frost is turning both those jobs down, and they believe he is headed to Nebraska.
Another rumor stating that Sean Callahan has a hunch from Matt Davison that Frost is coming home. Another rumor stating that they have heard that Davison will have some role in NU athletic department and the radio staff is already looking for a replacement.
I don't know what to believe anymore...
Davison giving off vibes that he would be coming to Nebraska means more to me than any media person and what they could say.
Combine what that chatter is saying and both national guys and what they were saying today, things are sounding good.
There has to be a reason why UF went from all hot and heavy over Frost to Kelly. Doesn't make any sense if they contacted Frost's agent and Frost said yes that they would be wasting their time with Kelly.

Some interesting chatter going on at another board. Supposedly Matt Davison is happy these days. TrueBigRedFan made some sort of post (don't have access to it) about something and Sean said that is what he is gathering from what he was hearing from the Florida Rival guys
.

Personally, and not to do with Frost, but I would be interested in seeing how the Chip offense would do in the SEC. Frost changed some things with his offense but the basic principles are the same.

Well I think you'd want to lock Kelly up fast if he was your guy then start to vet his assistants. Also Kelly wouldn't get the job then wildly start hiring former staff members who violated NCAA rules.
I think it's more of Foley, Spurrier and Stricklin not agreeing. I lean more toward the in fighting and the reports I've read that Foley and Spurrier are very much involved, even though Spurrier says he isn't.We know how message board rumors go, but they are saying that Foley is demanding to the big money boosters that Chip doesn't get hired because of the NCAA stuff and wants Charlie Strong and Spurrier wants someone like Forst or Norvell.
Who knows if that is true, but if they don't land Kelly we can only assume that internal fighting is the reason.

Lol, everything looks good until final quote. That's the problem, in year 1 we are already going to put the expectation of Championship game???
His reasoning is how he has always been a winner and would have an immediate impact with what is returning next year. Do I think what he said is stretching it? Yes, but I get his point.

What I don't understand is why the UCF fans are lashing out at NU fans.. coaches leaving going to other schools happen all the time.
Nice weather most of the year but crappy economy, crappy wages, G5 (hatred toward P5) mentality. Some just can't deal with reality.

I am growing more concerned about Florida and their delayed announcement to hiring Chip Kelly. If that one guys tweet was correct that Stricklin wants Chip, Chip wants Florida, Stricklin wants to move fast, Chip won't be on the market long, Spurrier wants Frost, Frost isn't looking at options until December.
Makes me think Florida may wait until December and make another push at Frost. Of course we still may win out and get Frost, but having Florida off the table would be a relief. I just think if Kelly was their guy they would have hired him as soon as possible to get a head start on recruiting.
Either Florida has internal fighting (can't decided who to interview/hire type of stuff) or they are vetting assistants he wants to bring if they were involved in the NCAA stuff.

"high chance he takes the Nebraska job"
Hero, understands culture, everyone would support him, will bring back a winning culture. "Would be hard for him to turn it down"
He thinks Nebraska could make it to the B1G title game in Frost's first year at Nebraska.
