I know AM had some bad throws against Northwestern, but they just held Wisconsin to 7. Maybe our offense was better than we thought that game.

Get in the I. Pound the rock. Move the chains. Keep this pitiful defense off the field.
What about our OL blocking gives you any confidence we could run the I? We'd just smash RBs into 1 yard gains or losses.

What is the case for Verduzco?
Idk our top two QBs have looked better as true freshmen than they do after spending time with him.

Neither Luke nor 2AM have really done anything to be the starter, but I think you go back to AM next week to see what he does.

AM is better. I know some of us love to die on the cross but you don't have to, just come on down.
Luke just played the Illinois, at home, as a 16 point fav...and look at the result.
Against the worst defense we've played this year.

Luke can run like nobody's business and he can catch. I'd be comfortable with that line up.
Then maybe Luke would demand attention and open up Wan'Dale.

I am sitting here watching Nebraska/Illinois, what kind of world are we living in where Illinois is beating Nebraska. I miss OU/Nebraska in the big time Thanksgiving games. Win or lose it was a great rivalry. Could Nebraska please come back to the Big 12 conference so things can get back to normal. We miss you Nebraska.
You just looking for another easy win? That's all NU is anymore.

AM back at QB and move Luke to WR. The best our offense looked all year was against OSU with that combo.
-
So the defense is turning these in next week right?
-
I'm sure I'll get flack for this but Luke is playing no better than AM did. He's missed multiple guys running wide open for huge gains or TDs.

He’s hit receivers right in the hands. It isn’t mccaffrey
He's also missed Robinson on a sure TD overthrow and then immediately overthrew the next guy for a near pick. Let's not act like he's playing good.

Frost is 3 games in to his third season....with the first recruiting class mostly a bust.
We don't have the depth or development yet for "next man up" in the sense we were used to under Osborne
The first quality class that has had one year of development now are redshirt freshmen.
And the two classes above his first year bust are major busts too with 2017 being basically non existent. Still need another year or two to really have that next man up option.

They should just do what they decide to do as a team and use it the way they want to regardless of what media or fans think. It means more for the players than anyone else (regardless of how obsessive we all are) and they should make it what they want.

I can't remember - was there speculation/confirmation that Thompkins was receiving discipline for something the week of Northwestern and didn't play?
I might be waaaay off on that, just can't remember.
I heard that speculation too. Then didn't someone say something minor injury related or something maybe? Regardless we need some RBs to step up real soon.

I wouldn't be against giving Martinez some run this week. You gave Luke a game to himself and he didn't really do anything with it. Now that we're finally playing a not awesome defense, Luke gets the start but I give Adrian a series in each half to give him a chance to win his job back. If he flames out, we roll with Luke rest of the season to see what we have.
This seems like such a tough spot to put a QB in and normally I'd be against it, but I agree. AM and Luke both got their chance to separate themselves and they didn't so now you have to play both and see if one takes the reins. If one guy has the hot hand one week you roll with him until he doesn't. I think the QBs and Frost are in a tough spot.

Cam addressed his bad snaps in yesterday's PC, and he said they need to stop. I think he has been limited in practice, so there are lost reps there. Severe and Benning seemed to think Cam's worst snaps were when he was being asked to pull. I am not sure if their comments are true. S&B did say that QB's do drills where they are given bad snaps, and still being asked to carry out the play.
Being asked to pull could probably have an impact. My snaps were worse when I had someone lined up over top because you're trying to Snap the ball and also quickly make contact with the defender. However, at this point his snaps need to be so automatic that it doesn't matter. I don't know if they still teach it this way but 12 years ago hitting the exact same spot on my leg every time cured most of my issues. It doesn't have to be really hard.

I would love to see Luke or AM throw mid-range passes often. And deep routes. I just don't think we have consistent pass-pro, and quick/fast receivers running routes (starters). It's a combination of sorts.
And I don't see corners playing back either. Which tells me there are lots of red flags in our passing game, and it's not (all) on our QB1 as much as we focus it on. It's a little bit on them, but a lot more in other areas IMHO.
Yup I agree. I think teams have us pretty well scouted on offense right now and once they make in game adjustments our offense completely stalls.

Who should be our starting QB?

Going back and watching Martinez's drive against Illinois and you can actively seem him working his reads. I noticed it earlier in the year too, but it seemed more intentional Saturday. Now that's garbage time and he obviously wasn't playing with the stress of a normal game. However, he was obviously working through is reads, nothing there, run and it was quickly too. All day you could see Luke lock on receivers, miss obviously open guys and then just start running. I think you have to give Martinez the start or at least significant snaps just to see if the benching somehow snapped him out of whatever was going on mentally. Maybe it was enough time for him to realize he just has to go play.
