Who was the tall bean-pole kid that threw like forty million pics against Texas Tech? I'm pretty sure he stayed.
Beau Davis. I believe he left the team prior to his senior season in 2008.

I like any list that has Iowa dead-last.

Since 1998, we have only had 4 quarterback recruits stay with the team for 4 years. Lord, Ganz, TMart, and Armstrong.

I'm surprised that anyone is surprised by this. Going back to 2000, how many times have we not been a 1 qb team? Zac Lee was a capable backup for TMart, but that's about it. Keller had Ganz, but quite honestly it should have been the other way around and I wouldnt have called Keller a capable backup.
We went from 2013 to 2017 without having a single HS quarterback recruit become a starter. This is nothing new.

Verdusco is a great interview

All but 3 AP/coaches poll national champion teams since 1990 are included in this list. Miami, GaTech, and Colorado.

I miss the teams, not the association. Yes, we are probably a better fit in the Big10 and the money is great, but to me Nebraska's schedule should always include the Big8 teams.

To me, the day the wall fell didnt happen until the next season when ISU handed us our butts for a 2nd straight blowout loss. Up until then we were losing to pretty good teams. ISU just felt different to me.

I watched that game earlier this summer and was surprised that my memory of it was much worse than my impression the 2nd time around. It was a terrible start and a terrible ending, but we actually made a game out of it going into the 4th quarter.

Haha. I'll do the same, but have instead have the field renamed after me.
"Welcome to Lincoln, Nebraska as the Nebraska Cornhuskers host the Purdue Boilermakers at Crazyhole Stadium on Hans Gruber Field."
As long as they play a game on Christmas in your honor.

I learned that I drink too much during delays.

Honestly, they should have been looking into that. Yes, it would have screwed with FOX, but the game itself is more important than the TV partners.
They could have done a delayed broadcast. IMO, the issue was that they would have had to finalize it on Friday morning so people traveling could adjust their schedule, but historically speaking this has a 1 in 400 chance of happening. Not worth the trouble, especially if the weather had ended up cooperating.

You got $100 to $150 million? That's what it will roughly cost.
It's a silly idea, brought on by the frustration of a once-in-a-lifetime event that squashed what was supposed to be an epic night in the history of Husker football. Let's not completely lose our sense of sanity over it.
Thats a high estimate. But even if it cost a third of that it would be a stupid investment.

Is there any protocol that allows an earlier start? After thinking about it, I am sure the game will be over by 9:00 anyway because our offense will be moving so fast
The game will go so fast that it was finished in July.
FYI, we won.

Has a game ever been delayed or anything for us?
I have a vague recollection of it happening, probably in the 90s, but cant say when exactly. And I might be dreaming too, but it seems like I remember fans packed into the belly of memorial waited for a storm to pass.

It's that weird to obsess over someone you've never met.. right?
Yes. Other than Daisy Fuentes. Its ok to obsess over her at any level.

Yep. And Jordan Adams was doing battle with an extremely agressive spleen.
