Those players are going to fear screwing up in games now.

I know this reply is a little off of the topic of “high speed stretching”.

That said… I would think that Frost’s staff might not instill an extreme level of “fear of screwing up”, but ensuring that the players have a clear understanding of what the expectations are if they want to be able to stay on the field for the good of the team. I’m sure a lot of it is scheme and coaching differences, but there’s a lot to be said about how Frost’s staff had the UCF team playing fast/aggressively versus the seemingly hesitant play we’ve seen these last years. I only bring this point because I think that some hesitant play can be attributed to the “fear of screwing up”.

Going forward I hope that there is a fear of in getting caught slacking off or neglecting their duties in practice, conditioning, their studies, or during the games.

  2. To give you example of the seat yourself process... I'm a season ticket holder but don't have any donation points. My last timeslot came up May 10th. At the time, there was a lot of premium seats available if I wanted to upgrade, but my seats are pretty decent for no donation so I haven't been able to justify the cost to move.

Like knapplc says though, with Frost coming in, it's difficult to say how much there will be for ticket availability.

  3. Running, thanks for the clarification. I thought the new section looked nice for comfort. I've been meaning to swap my regular tickets with a friend's tickets in the 600 section for one game to enjoy a different vantage point.

I agree about the rental seats. They are ok in a very few areas, but they don't allow for knees and nesting around each other for people behind in all the tight areas (the majority of the stadium).

I would put in actual seats and get rid of those #^#&%&$ seat backs that take up half of the person behind you's leg room. Those things are so inconsiderate of everyone else.

Runningblind, are you talking about the seat backs built into the bleachers in the 600's section (upper East stadium), or the rental seat cushions with the seat back?

Great for Riley but more importantly how much is he paid and how much does that save us? Please tell me he isn't Bo'ing us.

I'd guess his wage will be comparible with the other Oregon State assistant coaches. I don't think it too likely that a lot of other FBS schools would be beating down his door to pay him big wages to be their head coach. I'm happy Mike found a home doing what he loves and will be offsetting at least a little bit of the money UNL owes him. He could just do nothing instead & get paid the same.

Sounds like it's Walters and the "surprise" is that it appears Frost will clean house of the previous staff.

If that's the case, I sure wouldn't rank it as a 10 on the surprise meter like Schaefer apparently stated.

  7. I believe the $100 or more initial donation is to get you into the seat yourself rounds. The people with more donation points get to be in earlier rounds of the seat yourself process. If there are tickets still available after all the scheduled seat yourself rounds, they are made available to the general public.

It's hard to say how hard it will be to get tickets with the buzz of a new coach. It seems like some of the lower donation ones have gone quicker in the past.

The tickets themselves are a flat rate for anywhere in the stadium. For example, last season was about $399 for one season ticket plus whatever the donation that's required for that seat based upon the map. Each ticket requires it's own donation based upon it's location.

Here's a link to the sign-up page which also shows the donation map: https://ev9.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventInfo?ticketCode=GS%3AIBM%3AF18%3AWL%3A&linkID=huskers&shopperContext=&pc=&caller=&appCode=&groupCode=WL&cgc=
