I don't think his decision to leave UCF was as easy as you might think.

Oh I agree. Just saying he's accomplished all he can at UCF. It's the truth. He's undefeated and sadly they still have no chance to get into the playoff. That's the reality of the situation.

Orlando Sentinel report this AM quotes a UCF staffer as saying Frost was considering calling Moos and backing out yesterday morning

Don't buy it for a second. He just peaked at UCF. He's done all he could there. Just took them to an undefeated season. No where to go from there, but down.

UCF Rivals just had a big update:

-Rumored OC to be Matt Lubick

-Frost has discussed splitting duties between UCF and Nebraska and still coach in the bowl game, not likely according to post though.

    - Austin, Held, Ruud, Duval  Verduzco, and Chinande are expected to be on the new staff; Chinander will come immediately to recruit with Frost.

-Lots of Nebraska Press have media passes for game and their is concern this could present a distraction

-Unclear how or when the announcement will come

-Hearing contract is 5 years and around 6 million per year

    -Sumlin UCF's top target

All media is a joke, but why can't the Nebraska media just let the man coach his team without having to be involved!

"In a vacuum, the Florida job is better, Tennessee is better, UCLA is better, A&M is better, if Florida State opens, that’s better,” Vannini said. “I would probably have Nebraska around the Arkansas level but higher because Arkansas has an incredibly tough division and Nebraska has a much easier division"

Will this sentiment start to change when Frost starts kicking everyone's a**?  Because I'm sick of it.

Just one clowns opinion. Let's really look at it. Tennessee, any questions? Florida, back to Tennessee but not quite as bad. UCLA, doubtful especially if quality of life matters to you. I'm not a fan of LA. A&M, meh, what's so special. Nothing. Florida State? Apparently there athletic department is a dumpster fire.  So there we have it. Nebraska still the better job. Just my opinion. #GBR #FrostHype

Wow if this is true, it's not just the fans making UT look bad. This would be the equivalent of TO interfering in past hires/searches which obviously I can't imagine.

Maybe they should just give themselves the death penalty at this point. Put a stop to the football program. Wow, just Wow!

    https://blogs.usafootball.com/blog/4999/how-scott-frost-evolved-chip-kelly-s-offense-at-central-florida

This article breaks down how SF has evolved Kelly's concepts to help him disguise the offense and keep defense's from keying on plays. I think it's also why we need to give SF 5-6 years at least. The first 2-3 years he may be working to evolve his offense for the B1G and its defenses. Great coaches are able to continually evolve their offenses and defenses over time so no one can figure them out and that's what SF has been doing at UCF and I think he could bring to NU.

Great article. Really shows his knowledge and expertise of his offense and his ability to tweak things just a bit. Fun to watch.

Sounds like someone might be walking it back a bit. Why do Jay and Damon even feel the need to discuss something that happened 20 years ago. I thought Jay was above all this, but maybe not. When you listen to Damon discuss the events of that evening with Scott and LP I get the feeling he blames Scott, that's just me. He seems to hold a grudge regarding the whole situation. Damon won't come out and say it but it seems that way. Jealousy is an ugly thing and I feel like these two might be struggling with that emotion. Let it go, move on! Frosty is coming home!

Frost isn't going to do everything himself, he will need help. Again in no way would Moos influence the final decision, but he likely has more connections than Frost does, why not use those resources to the fullest of you are Scott Frost. Moos is a resource that I would definitely draw upon when trying to build a staff.

Sure. I get that,  Moos can have a say, but in no means have a final say or any influence in a decision. We see where that seems to have got us.

I think Moos could play a role in building a candidate list for any position necessary, but nothing past that

Possibly, but if I'm Frost I want full control. Just like Devaney evaluating players. I'm in the opinion that he needs to go. If I'm the coach i choose and evaluate my own players and staff.

Here’s something to increase our pages:

shoukd Scott Frost have full control of who he chooses for his staff without any input from his AD?  My answer would be absolutely. But there has been a mini-outcry from some of our current players on social media that want certain coaches to stay. What do you all think?

Full control. The Moos pretty much said this in his press conference. I'm the AD not the coach. The coach will have control of the football program.
