All the local media guys think this is a big development for Nebrasketball.
Should at least take some of the stress away.
FWIW, on reddit, guy just said he was told 3pm Press conference for us. No clue if he's legit or not.

My impression has been the exact opposite. I think this is a big loss for the University System.
I am biased because most of my affiliations are to East Campus and the Ag Donor folks who think VERY highly of Green.
But, I can tell you that I’ve heard things have not always been completely rosey behind the scenes with certain relationships among those at the helm.

Tim will be let go in the morning.
Fred will be named either on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Yes, this is what I meant as well. Process starts tomorrow with Tim being let go. FH likely named early in week to give max press coverage prior to tourney starting back up.

So we will know soon
Tomorrow seems pretty likely from what talk radio guys speculated on last week if we lost. Also, good timing early in week to get media attention before tourney starts back up.

Is Fire Hoiberg his evil twin brother?
Omg lol. I didn’t even catch they misspelled it.

Not sure how legit these guys are, but they’re followed by Benning and Severe:

Fwiw,
I was in Des Moines for basketball last two days. I sat at a table with guy who played with FH at ISU. He was there to watch Iowa game with friends. I asked him what he thought with current situation. He talked with FH day of his sons game. He said he doesn’t believe Prohm is leaving for 2-3 years and said 95% we get FH.

Pretty sure that was the narrative of the Message Board Warriors who think they own the team. If things don't go their way I'd suggest turning in their tickets and letting some kids have the seats.... the average fan age shouldn't be 65 anyway. If Moos decides he can get a better coach, I'm okay with that too.
Are the message board warriors responsible for the last 7 years of sub-par results as well? Or responsible for us being bottom 4 ranked and in the play in game round of BIG tourney 5 out of those 7 seasons? If not, who is?

Plot twist...

[Washington] faces criminal charges under California’s relatively new “revenge porn” law in connection to a video of a 15-year-old teen allegedly being sexually assaulted... Washington did not record the video and is not part of the alleged assault. But Washington is accused of keeping the video on his phone and sending it to the victim last March, along with the message, “Remember this hoe [sic].” Because the victim was 15 when the video was recorded, he’s also being charged with distribution of child pornography, a felony.

I listened to 1620 on the way home from work today (around 5-ish) - Josh and John made at least two or three remarks about the station having come under fire thanks to Schaefer/Benning last week. They made it sound like they've received a lot of complaints, including some people saying they would no longer listen to the station, and then John even took a little bit of a dig at Schaefer. It was all sort of said in passing - they didn't devote much time to it.
Nonetheless, it seems like quite a few people are laying a significant portion of blame for this situation at 1620's feet. And, to some extent, I agree. It was an incredibly misguided move on their part. Factually reporting impropriety is one thing. Throwing vague accusations at the wall without any context or fact is something else entirely.
Do you know about what segment or time this was? I would like to listen for it on their podcast if able. Thx

Firing was based on wins and losses, not being competitive at top level. Cited the January melt down and Copeland.
