I’m glad to have it his (alleged) commitment, but what a waste of an opportunity. We needed him to commit in the summer for peer recruitment.

We are vulnerable to any team with a competent passing game. I do not like our changes against Maryland, in fact I have a suspicion it will be ugly. Not sure what to think about Wisconsin overall, but the Iowa game may be our best/only chance to become bowl eligible.

Last time I checked there hasn't been a group with a hit song about Nike. "My Adidas" is a banger
Did you forget about the ultimate hit machine known as “Nelly”?- 1

I would have called some PA with a roll out. As soon as that play started I knew where they were going. 11 sec get him on the move if he can't run throw it as somebody's feet and kick a fg
Good call. A rollout would have been a great choice. -
I just want to see a glimmer of a passing game

And yeah, that under route was open.

Didn’t that ball break the plane?

Reminds me of Adrian Martinez: brilliant runs, some short-intermediate throws, too many turnovers

I picked the good guys to go 5-4 and tie Minnesota for third place, but Minnesota wins the head-to-head. I have Wisconsin winning the division and Iowa coming in second.
There are so many games that seem like a coin flip. In the end I just picked the home team as the victors. It will be fun to see how it actually shakes out.

Betts was arrested for speeding and had some marijuana in his possession. That’s about as minor an offense as you can have. But, you know how those Omaha kids are such a problem. This may be a shocker, but kids can get a hold of marijuana and other drugs in Lincoln and a lot of other places in state of Nebraska.
Minor offense indeed, but then he followed it up with a failure to appear in court. He just seems like a young guy that needs the structure and support of the football program in order to thrive.- 1

Maybe we would all be better off if we practiced some basic empathy. Who knows why Betts ended up quitting again, but for whatever reason his passion for football didn’t match his athletic talent and ability. Does that make Betts a head case? In your opinion maybe so. In my opinion, it doesn’t. He’s just a kid who was given some amazing athletic ability, who would rather do other stuff. That’s part of the recruiting process, is to figure out if talented kids have the desire to do whatever it takes to be a success on the football field.
That’s the sad part. Football was his opportunity to do other things with his life. Earn that diploma after a couple more years and then chase your passions.- 1

We apparently told Wynn he likely only had a limited role this year.
Allen was told he was fourth on the depth chart.
Any insight with regards to Allen? Was it talent or effort? -

Don't worry, he's probably been on the phone with Frost all offseason figuring out how to win at NU also.
God help us

Paraphrashing, but Schaef basically said that there was a point in February where Raiola to Nebraska was very much in the cards, but Georgia and USC came through with NIL deals that Nebraska couldn't match.
Word is is that it's quite a bit higher of a number than that.
What kind of $$$ are we talking? Any rumor on how much we offered? -

To be honest, I think White is a bit of an unknown. His defense produced good numbers, but so did Iowa’s. Both defenses looked mediocre against top 25 competition. We may have a different opinion of White if we were not shielded by the BIG West.
