NW is better than Minny. That is a scientific fact.

We're officially a Big Ten team when we win 13-10. I wish it was 7-5 to solidify the inclusion but it works.

Lol well as long as it’s admitted I guess.
Might as well have some fun with it all. Don't try to out propagandize me I WILL BURY YOU.

Ooof. That bar is getting lowered so much we can have a limbo party. I’ll bring the fondue
Until we get the horses I'm willing to rearrange the goalposts to fit my narrative. Iowa is a legit top 20 team fwiw.

Remember when one of our safeties straight up trucked a Northwestern receiver running a slant while the ball was in the air, letting us pick it off? No call. Me too.
Bout time we got some home cooking

Ferentz wins these 13-10 type of games all the time. I admit I'll be a bit discouraged if Frost starts wearing a mock turtleneck and punting from the 35 but it works for Kirk.

I find that unlikely.
Which part? Huskers are a freaking TO machine so yeah, not turning it over seems like hitting the lotto.
-
Really hope this is a sign of things to come. Huskers didn't do anything special today but didn't turn it over. Easy to win games when you don't give them away.

What's your point? UNLV, MSU, and Stanford all gained more yards and scored more points than we did against NW. And while we're at it Wisconsin scored more points against NW than we did as well.
Wisconsin rushed for more yards vs Michigan than they had total yards vs NW 359-243. We outgained UW vs NW. Perspective. Huskers don't turn the ball over and they will be fine vs every team in the league not named Ohio State.

Not that close
Game was close. 7-3 late in the 3rd. Sack fumble recovery for TD. Then UW gets a long INT return TD to blow it open. NW had a chance to get back into the game but they needlessly went for 2 twice.

Not turning the ball over and being +1 in TOs is how you win in the close games in the big leagues. Don't have to be great just don't beat yourself. Until Frost gets the horses this is a great recipe for success.

Thats possible but you would think Frost would say as much imo. I agree he has been hurt since like week 2 or 3
Frost doesn't comment on non-season ending injuries.

Do we know why he was suspended?
He looks like he needs to heal up to me. He's been limping around for weeks.

Funny how that happens when Nebraska wins
That first 3 and 1 penalty I thought was a killer at midfield. People forget it bc we won but another sloppy play.
-
Since we've entered the B1G we've only beaten NW twice at home. Once with a hail mary and once with a last minute FG. I'm not proud of it but NW-NU have played some fun games.

How long does it take to correct a snap issue?
Way too long. The Wandale TD run was a terrible snap. Figure it out already.

Ugly game to watch.
Worst Northwestern team in recent memory so struggling to beat them is concerning.
Was it just me or how did the slow NW QB gash us at key times in the run game especially because he was no threat to pass.
Game ball to Wandale.
Bowl eligibility still on track.
>Worst Northwestern team in recent memory so struggling to beat them is concerning.
Same NW team every year. When they win the close games they have a big year W/L wise, when they lose they cry foul.

I hope the OL gets better, I really do- but its game 6, half way, and sometimes you just are what you are. People rant like the OL problems are novel, but they've been consistently bad since game one. The thing with hoping they get better doesn't account for the fact that every team is getting better every week. But its getting on my nerves people calling Jurgens out, it's extremely tacky. Someone has to snap the ball.
Normally I'm with you. Did we not improve under Frost last year in the 2nd half of the year? I'm not promising anything just providing some hope.

Rewatching the game now. The Wan'Dale run, that's just crootin. Switzer used to talk about what separated OU from NU being recruiting. He was right most of the time.

If teams take away Wan’dale then it opens up for JD or someone else. Why is JD not having as much success this year? Probably because no Morgan to worry about. Or to take an NFL example, Smith-Schuster isn’t having a great season without AB sucking up double teams. Finite number of defensive resources so the more they use to deal with Wan’dale the more opportunities the other guys will get.
Need 28 to get healthy. Hopefully the OL gets better as the year goes on like last year.

Let’s remember these and compare them to what Wisconsin does to us in a few weeks.
Ohio State was scary. Wisconsin is just a nice team. I think people are making too much about them.
