  1. For those of us a few years older than some....who did you grow up listening to for Nebr Football broadcasts?  I grew up in Western Ne and started listening to Husker Football in 1962..the year Bob Devaney came to Lincoln. Our radio station choices were that that many, but our station of choice had d!(k Perry doing Husker broadcast. I remember hanging a transistor radio from a tree branch and playing catch w/ the football out in the street while listening to games. I know Lyle Bremser was a favorite to many,  but d!(k Perry had his place.

  2. I'm looking for two "paper" tickets to the Sept 3rd game against ND  for my grandson and myself. The last I heard..TA  said paper tickets would be made available...but everywhere I look on line..they are all electronic. Has there been an update eliminating paper tickets that I missed...or are they still avail..and if so...does anyone have a couple they want to sell?

I think that the staff will stick around.  I think, barring an epic meltdown, he’s bought himself a few more years with these hires.

I agree...I think he bought himself at least two more years.Opposing coaches recruiting against us are throwing out the narrative that this is a make or break year for Frost...I dont think that is the case.

That is my big fear here.

    Time for Trev Alberts?

To be fair, at the age he was when hired, I never thought this would be a long term thing anyway.

I didnt think it would be long term either, but I also didnt expect it to be this abrupt..almost overnight. Trev Alberts???  Dont know about that one.

Remember that period from like 15 months ago until 2 months ago when some people thought he'd already boosted his reputation as a QB enough to be named starter? Good times.

Yea...I remember...I was one of those thinking he deserved to start..but reality set in and realized I was wrong.

I'm taking it as a good sign that Wan'Dale is speaking today. Red Rogue's track record speaks for itself, but I don't think I'd do a weekly presser if I was planning on leaving.

Thats exactly what I thought when I saw the presser. Why speak if you are leaving...why mention wanting a win Friday so we dont have to think about a loss over the summer..he sounded to me like someone planning on being here next year.

Did anybody else think Wandale was going to score on the play where he got facemasked?

I could only see what the TV showed me but that one looked like he was gone.

Yes...I said at the time...that guy w/ face mask penalty just saved a TD.

But you do realize our fate is not in our hands anymore? It was taken away by Wisconsin. Say Wisconsin plays this weekend and wins the rest of their games. We play and win the rest of our games. We will be 6-1 and they will be 7-0. They go to conference title game out of default because they didnt have to play us. If we played them and lost so be it. But they would get to go to the CCG because they didn't have to play Ohio State is the only difference.

Depending what the tie breaker formula is. Wisconsin could even lose a game and potentially still go ahead of us with no head to head.

Does that sound like a fair competitive balanced system?

Does not sound fair and balanced...but why would we kid ourselves and expect fair  from Big  at this time.

I wish and hope for nothing but the best for any player who contracts Covid. Doesn’t matter if it’s a Nebraska player or Wiscy or whoever. But, when game time rolls around, I want to hang as many points on them as possible. Everyone has to operate in the same environment with the same rules. Nobody is giving us any breaks for being down DBs on ridiculous targeting calls and nobody would care if our 2 QBs were out for Covid. Once the ball is kicked off, no mercy. Maybe Frost can apologize to Chryst for our last touchdown....

I agree..no one was throwing the mercy flag for us when we have had to play back up QB's  in the past. Wis is a Div 1  power 5 school..they dont recruit chumps..even 2 or 3 deep at any position.

You guys are more B1G than some of the traditional Big 10 schools.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you guys have done and continue to do so we can have football this fall.

Forever a Buckeye! And now - Forever a Husker!

Husker Nation appreciates your comment. Very classy.
