  1. So the title says it, as a second year UC student, last football season I started a lil tradition where when I go to UC road games I either trade some Cincy craft beer or shot glasses with fans of the home team, if anyone would be interested lmk

I have shot glasses that say "UC Bearcats" and "Down the drive" as well as "Feeling good, it's skyline time" some with the "UC Cpaw logo"and lastly even two shot glasses that say "Welcome home to the River! FCC!"

Now as far as beer goes, I've got these local crafts to offer ...

    1. Rhinegeists Truth IPA (7.2% ABV)

    2. Moerleins Over-The-Rine Ale (6% ABV)

    3. Rivertown's Roebling porter (7.8% ABV)

    4. Madtrees Citra High (10.3% ABV)

Thanks, and I'll stay in touch on the message board closer to gameday!  Stay safe fellow midwesterners!

Student section is a good seat as long as you get East stadium. You do not want the South stadium tickets, you'll be way out there in the corner endzone.

Visitors tickets have a couple blocks; one is in the corner of West stadium where your team will enter. Those will be the best seats, and if your band travels that's where they will sit. There is another right next to that block in South stadium (opposite of the students). If you get a close seat they are ok otherwise you're in BFE like the student section. The last block I remember is in the Northeast corner and sucks, you don't want those at all.

Like everybody said it's best to wait. If all else fails you can usually buy tickets off the street before the game for ok prices.

Ok good to know, thanks for the help!

Why don't you try just buying tickets through your ADs office?  They would be face value and you would be probably sitting right where your team enters the stadium.

I might, but last season Cincy had a game at Ohio State and they gave our student section away tickets and they said it would be great tickets and then our student section was way in the nosebleeds yet our alumni and boosters were way down by the field so I was annoyed with our AD and most of the students were

Did anyone mention the student section isn't behind the Cincy bench?

It's fine if it isn't behind the Cincy bench I guess, if I'm in the student section I can make some friends

I would wait till the last minute.  We have a lot of older fans that attend games, and with the virus, they maybe more willing to set at home this fall, if we have games.

You can always find tickets outside, and normally at face value or below I have been told.  Been a long time since I did that, so can't really say it is reality anymore.

Again, they may be harder to get if they put social distancing into the mix.  Who knows!

If you make the game, hope you enjoy it, you will get razzed a little, but all is in good fun.  The fans will welcome you with open arms, all of us are sure of that.

    Ok yeah I'll wait

You'll be treated well in the stadium, even in the student section.

Just be aware that if you have a seat there, you won't really be in that seat, and you'll be standing the entire game.

That sounds perfect I much prefer standing the whole game than sitting tbh, I go to a lot of FC Cincinnati(MLS) games, all the Bearcats Basketball, Soccer, and Football games in the student section and the Cyclones Hockey games and it's standing the whole time :)

  6. I reached out on reddit as well and a Nebraska student DMd me saying he could get me a ticket in the Nebraska student section and I'd just have to bring a 12 pack of Busch to the tailgate, is that a good deal?  Keep in mind, I'll be wearing Cincy red and would prefer not dying ...

Specifically Volga Germans, who immigrated to the US from Russia. We associate Runza with Germans, but they're really more Russian than German.

That's awesome, my parents actually met in Russia and then fled to America during the fall of the Soviet Union

Let’s just say those exquisite delights can have unfortunate ends.

They are really good, and ironic you mentioned you have German heritage in your family, because the Runza has roots to the German immigrants who settled in Nebraska and other areas of the Midwest.  My grandmother made homemade Runzas, and my wife makes them for my family.  In fact, my son had his birthday last week, and he asked my wife to make homemade Runzas for his birthday.  He's a pretty smart kid.

Yeah 50% Polish 25% German 25% Russian, some of the best cuisine is from these 3 countries for sure

  9. Also I should explain my Username, in Cincy at UC we have rally possums and you DM them to our barstool to be featured on the barstool on Gameday, it’s like good luck to spot em and it’s a fun game to spot possums around on Gameday, or the night before

Hi, welcome to HuskerBoard, and soon to Lincoln! Not sure about ticket prices, but we had another Cincinnati student visit the board a few weeks ago, you should be able to find some good info in this thread:

Oh an Aussie, cool!  Never met one of those, Cincy is mostly a Germanic town, I mean my mom is Polish and German and my dad is Russian and Polish

  12. Hey, so ummm I'm a Sophomore at Univeristy of Cincinnati and I'm flying into Lincoln for three nights for the UC at UNL game and I haven't done too many away games, but I assume their won't be student tickets for us, so .... how expensive do yous guys expect tickets behind the UC sideline to be?  I don't want to spend more than 125$ a ticket.  Also, if there is a couple two three things I should try or see while I'm there in Lincoln, what are they?
