Trev's first interview question, "hey Scott, who are you going to hire for ST coach."
what???????? pack your s#!t, you are gone.

Surely he can’t be serious. If so, it’s a perfect example of why we’ll never get over the hump with him at HC. An obvious problem, glaring him right in the face, and he chooses not to acknowledge it and put a band-aid on it and hope it’ll get better.
this is exactly why we should have fired Frost.
can't believe Trev played the homer card!

Exactly. He is maintaining faith with both camps right now (Frost loyalists and detractors). I think the results next year will be similar and he will then have both the political capital and performance metrics to transition the program to new leadership.
politics has transferred magically to football, sigh.

Trying to imagine what Nebraska's offense might look like next year if they commit to a power running game.
Can you imagine Yant in THAT kind of offense?!?
there was no plan for our running backs this year, pitiful.

so what the hell did we accomplish by keeping Frost? save money?
i mean really, Chinader is the only guy worth anything.
the offense is the whole problem, ie. SF!

Scott Frost is that you? I think you should be getting the team ready for OSU instead of commenting on HuskerBoard.

I truly like college football and Nebraska is my team. I'll watch regardless of what happens or doesn't happen. It's still fun to me. I know that isn't the norm in this day and age so I do see the OPs point. If Frost is retained and he loses significant talent to the portal, it could be a really bad offseason. If he is retained and the nobody bails, I would actually have quite a bit of hope as this would be a sign his guys aren't quitting on him. Maybe Frost and staff learn from mistakes and we improve? Unlikely but it could happen so I would be a fan and hope. If Frost is replaced, I'll jump right on the bandwagon and cheer for the next coach.
this staff of coaches will not improve, SS, DD.

my off season interest would only revolve around a new coach, otherwise Frost talk is just jibberish, heard it all over the past 4 years, hope Adrian moves on.

Speaking of minds, I wonder what is going through Trev’s mind and what kind of coach he would think about if he is thinking change??
we need a Big 10 coach.

clean house, all of them need to go.

Frost has the RB room jacked up, we will lose at least 2 guys this spring.
Frost is a joke.

Trev getting a fraction of loser coaches pay, time for a power move.
Trev needs to clean up another mess.
-
my aggravation lies with Frost's obsession of playing AM no matter what. clearly the kid is poorly coached, clearly.
Frost has proven he does not know how to win at NU.
Keeping him for one year of "progress". is wasted on our program.
another year of failure is unnecessary.

i am tired of Frost, he is a waste of time.

blow out, we lose by 20 or more.

Verduzco is an example of most of these coaches, they are out classed in this league.

My brother-in-law is high up at a nice hotel chain in Omaha. They got a request for proposal for a block of rooms for the College Gameday crew. Depending on how Ohio State does this weekend, it sounds like they may be coming to Lincoln for the Ohio State game. Anyone else hear anything?
please, no!

Keeping one the worst statistical coaches that has coached 40 games at his current place of employment is the best we can do? You really think the BEST coach we can get cant win 40% of his games?
new facility coming up n the next few years, time to clean house.
most of Scott's coaches will land on the bench somewhere.

I get the impression a lot of people have made up their mind already. I personally think Scott & staff should be given another year if they can finish the season strong.
define, strong? 1-3?
and why are we with our back against the wall, again?

I feel like I say this every week, but this could be the biggest game of the Frost era. Win and keep the bowl dream alive. Lose and you will be starring down 3-7 at the bye.
Frost s#!t. the bed when we lost to Illinois, long time ago.
-
if Frost loses the last 4 games, who would take his job?
program is on the brink of disaster.

It's obvious that Alberts won't fire Frost after this season.
So, let's shift the discussion to this question: Do you believe Frost is actually capable of fixing the special teams and fundamentals problems? If he can, he's got a team that could potentially have winning seasons in 2022 & 2023.
But if he can't fix these core, systemic problems he will stay the course as a 5-7 dumpster fire embarrassment that nobody in this state is proud to call their team. That's where Scott has this program; we are legitimately so terrible that we're talking about having to make major improvements just to have a winning season.
Unreal.
you see his plan to fix the punt return game, let the punt go untouched and let the other team down the ball. we are paying $5 mil for this s#!t coaching?
fire him now.
