  1. Perhaps Rhule was disappointed similar to us and didn’t want to let us down. He’s probably a little apprehensive in relation to younger receivers lacking experience. I’d say he’s exhausted from the trip and all the work he’s been doing.

They’ve got to pressure the QB, effectively cover his receivers, do well on special teams, hold onto the ball, create turnovers, play smart without costly mental errors and POUND THE ROCK!

Wear them down and impose some of their own tempo too.

Of course one game doesn't make the season. But it's not wrong to be saddened by how Nebraska lost to Minnesota, a late mistake-riddled collapse on both side of the ball that felt way to much like the previous regimes.

Should we expect Matt Rhule to put a stop to that single-possession losing mojo overnight? Yes. That's why we hired him.

Should we have expected Deion Sanders bluster and last second roster overhaul to be exposed against TCU? Probably.

TCU didn't look great. But neither did Minnesota. We can put a pin in this thread and revisit it in December after a lot of unexpected things happen. Given only one weekend of college football to fret about, the reaction so far is pretty much warranted.

It did feel very much like what we've come to expect...We should've beaten a decent (Fairly average) Minnesota team. I don't anticipate resolution overnight though I do expect improvement. We didn't see nearly enough.

That was a tough loss particularly because (again) the game could've been won. However, the verdict isn't in nor will it be for a good, long while (even if we had won the game). There is nothing to indicate that over-reactions won't cease. In fact, they'll intensify. I'll be rooting for the team and what it can be.

Remember that pair of jumper cables you mentioned last season during the conversation with a rival? That's a little bit what I feel like with a few ding dongs around here except have it be a charger set 24 Volt START! All humor of coarse (not seriously).

There's a couple other threads that could be closed too IMO. It seems that there's more than adequate opportunities to make points without having a multitude of options to do it.

Wildcat to who? Or is it whom. Lol

I don’t watch the specifics of formation, but on the first play of our offense series we had 6 OL- both centers were in.  Is that the “stand your ground” formation?  Im thinking it was because we were pinned at the one.

Don't remember that referred to as "stand your ground".

In some discussion of the Wildcat before, not having the personnel was mentioned. Silly commentary on my part considering all the madness associated with the game.  It'll be interesting to see what Rhule and Satterfield cook up.

I'm thinking (who) is the correct usage. :)

I see Oregon showing Colorado why they call Eugene “Track Town.”  They will be up against a far different version of speed that day.  Oregon by three touchdowns,

Don't go there man! It's like a loot box with a glitch that has 10,001 answers to prove a point. Rebuilding in a short period of time is superior. There's no other avenue. Never will be. Never has been. Every other route is a dead end. Except, there are.

I’m not upset or mad with anyone on this board….that would be irrational. I just saw a lot of condescending comments toward anyone calling this staff out and calling a spade a spade.
Is it subjective to say, what the f#&% did we just see?
Is it subjective to be disappointed the staff didn’t fix the things that are very fixable, ie procedural errors, getting the ball to the right personnel, setting Simms up for success instead of forcing him into situations he doesn’t do well.
is it subjective to say 6 or 7 wins is unlikely with the way we played against a mediocre Minnesota team?
For the record I’m not in the will Rhule make it to year 4 camp, but I think it’s very objective to question if this team will be successful if what cost us the Minny game isn’t fixed, and more importantly, can it be fixed.

Just my objective opinion, and if you equate that to negativity fine by me.

That's fair. You're being objective it seems. Seven wins might be a stretch at this point all things considered.

Feel like I'm missing something obvious, but what was Deion referring to in his TCU post game presser when he said "I've got all the receipts."

    The receipts for what?

If it were wagers, that'd be something huh!

I think it was mainly their media guys who were doubting and he kept up with who they were.  I think he called a few of them out

    This is the correct answer.

Isaiah garcia Castaneda is out for the season. We have very little offensive power as it is and now we have one less weapon. Where are all the players that Rhule recruited? It seems we got little firepower from the transfer portal. If anything, we let some of the bright spots last year leave. Unless Rhule sees something we don’t, our offense will struggle this season and next week will be extremely UGLY. Everyone will have a plan to shut Sims down and do, what next?

Someone suggested streaking awhile back! :laughpound
