Malachi Nelson to Boise St. :dunno  With top rated prospects falling this far, where do Purdy and Sims land?

Man I need to go to bed. Had a mini panic attack here thinking you meant Malachi Coleman and Carter Nelson were both transferring to Boise St.

Time to sign off. Happy to be a Husker. GBR. ✌️

    Yep, spot on,

2022: 42/636/9--Had Sam Hartman at QB who is a darn good college QB

2023: 59/653/4--WF had a big step back with Griffis at QB, probably the reason Banks is in the portal.

Banks would be an awesome pickup for NU, he's that big body 50/50 ball winner with good speed to boot WR that Nebraska has lacked for a while. Basically, Banks is what we all hoped Omar Manning would be.

Isn’t Banks the same exact size as Coleman at 6’4” and about 200 lbs? So is it the veteran experience we are after with him?

Allegedly, per latest expert take, it's a done deal....Especially if he shows up Friday for his visit.  I am so jaded that I will believe it when I see it and still wonder.

Assuming he is N and it’s a done deal. Are there any top tier 2024 recruits that could follow him here? Who’s on the potential list that could follow?

I hope we can get McCord.  Hopefully we don't have to wait to long to gain his commitment.  I know if he commits to us then he is going to have to play against his former teammates next year which might be a deciding factor as to why he hasn't committed yet.

My guess is that we land McCord at say 1.6M and have enough NIL for someone like Leavitt at maybe 400k for longer term QB value. (McCord would also include Flemming ideally)

  5. Interesting specifically about if the Newsome news is real.  Just last week Cooper said this…

“Quinton has been great for me. He does what we ask of him. He’s embraced the transition and sticks by me. He’s my messenger. I expect him to have a great season,” Cooper said. “Typically, we just try to go day to day. But if we want to forecast a little bit, I think he should have his best season as a Husker.”

Farmer and Sanford I agree with the consensus that they are replaceable and mainly just depth at this point.

I'd say Martin is positioned for success. He has solid credentials.

Definitely knows what he’s doing.  I hope he was already working with the TEs and knows them all. He’s got more TE experience than Wager… There has to be a reason that Josh Martin specifically was hired on as an Analyst. Leads me to believe Rhule had this in place as a backup just in case he needed to step in.

I go back to the movie “Rudy”. We need more players hungry enough to do the things to succeed here on their own. Then add in the support system.

If we are quoting movies why not try “The Blind Side”… kid was clearly talented and in a bad situation. With the right help, teachers, and overall support system around him he was able to succeed and become eligible to showcase his talents on the field.

Diamond in the rough at camp is becoming a football star. Transfers from state of Maryland committing soon. End to a Penn State commitment, watch for flip to NU.

This seems like a legit possibility of what he’s tweeting. I’m surprised there aren’t other lion schools that Penn State. Who could be the flip?

Agreed. Love that Josh Fleeks is all N and is going to share with the team his experience, reassurance, and success under Rhule’s way to play, act, and win. All you need is one spark to get a few others really bought in and then you have everyone believing.

Lived outside of Omaha for years.  Lived at Runza.  Never heard to the chili and cinnamon rolls either tbh.

Same. Born/raised in Omaha and never heard of Chili and Cinnamon. I won’t knock it until I try it. I can see it being similar to sweet corn bread with honey alongside chili.

If you are offended by my comment, you aren't understanding the point/joke I was making.

Lol. I should have added some sort of sarcastic font. I was trying to be sarcastic that everyone has unreasonable expectations about every coach we hire. In general I’m pretty happy with all the hires so far. Young. Great energy. Developers. Great recruiters.
