  1. Mo is Bobby's Uncle

Dont you think Mo Purify is any where between 3-5 years younger then Bobby?

I thought Bobby was Mo's uncle but i guess i could be mistakin

    Big family

Here's your scenario: Mo Purify is the youngest of a large family, His oldest brother has a son that he names Bobby. That would make Mo Bobby's Uncle. And there you have it!!

  2. I remember a "Tom Osborne Show" where Ozzie said that we as Husker fans really needed to appreciate how easy Fryar made it look because we were not likely to see such a talented receiver in a long while.

He was right . Fryar had blazing speed and had an incredible build. I remember in the 84-13 Minnesota game in '83 when Fryar lined up split left and there was nobody covering him. Gill simply flicked it over to him and he ran 80 yards for the score...84 points, holy crap what an offense.

  3. I'm surprised that Rodgers punt return was not on there. Oh well. Five out of fifty is pretty damn good.

Could've easily had that play, Eric Crouch's OU TD, and that block that one dude put on the Oklahoma dude on kickoff (way back when, forgot his name. Any help?)

Are you talking about John Ruud's hit on Kelly Phelps in the '78 game? The subsequent call by the officials that Phelps was down when he fumbled was one of the most ridiculous calls in College football history.. I was in the South stadium that day. I've never seen Tom Osborne so pissed off...God, what a horrible call.. Holy crap, what an amazing day of football. We were freezing but we were loving every minute of it....

OU had a hell of a team...If not for the six fumbles that they lost, we were probably in trouble...

  4. Here's the thing....BC didn't call a good game...I firmly believe that... I don't think Zac was thrilled with the play-calling....

Will he call hundreds of good games in the future? yes... It's one game and by God, we have a heapin' helpin' more to play this year....everyone will learn from this...

  5. I once took a girl from South Dakota to a game in Lincoln. She pretty much summed up we Nebraskans by saying this: "You know, in South Dakota we're pretty much divided..you know, the east river, west river thing...But just sitting here in this stadium, I can tell you're all Nebraskans..It doesn't matter if your from Omaha or McCool Junction"....

  6. Makes me long for the days of a beautiful October Saturday with my transistor radio listening to Lyle say: "Good afternoon football fans"...the smell of burning leaves in a trash barrel, all the neighborhood kids from small-town Nebraska getting together for a pick-up game of tackle football. No wimpy touch football for us. Then came Sunday, when you couldn't wait to open the Journal or World-Herald and look at the pictures of the game. Those were the times when we were only on TV once or twice a year and the radio guy was vital. Lyle is as much a part of my childhood as "Huntley and Brinkley"....

  7. Holy crap...They're still holding on to 62-36?. Better hold on to something I guess. They are falling fast. I wonder how their baseball team did last year?...I wonder what a sellout crowd at Folsom would look like?...They never sell out...Their excuse? "We have so much more to do here..What's there to do in Nebraska?..It's all you have to do, there's nothing else...Yes, Colorado is so full of stuff to do...I spent a week in Brush, Colorado one night. You wanna talk cows? Try about 40 of them outside of my motel window...These dipsh**s and their fake cosmopolitan attitudes make me ill. Burn CU Burn.
