  1. We followup with romp at Wake Forest, winning 45 - 21. Record 2 - 0, ranked #13
  2. Hey, add me as a friend at Xbox Live. GT: huskeraddict15 Will do! Watch for the friend invite.
  3. Board seems to be showing some interest, so here we go! Huskers start off with a close one............. 31 - 25 win over Nevada. Record 1 - 0, ranked #14 To build a little suspense, I will be posting game results about 3 or 4 times a day. So check back and give your comments. This might be fun!
  4. The rivals site is not bad and for the most part the people are descent. If you do go over there please represent NU well. There are a couple of dumbasses making NU fans look bad by being trolls. I enjoy educated football discussion. I certainly won't troll their boards or anything. I just wanted to chat about where to go for pregame and postgame festivities. Things to see and do while we are in North Carolina, etc. Simple fun stuff is all.
  5. Going to pickup NCAA Football 2008 for the XBOX 360 this evening. Thought it might be fun to throw it in and simulate the 2007 season on all the default settings. Would anyone want to see the results? If so, post here, and if there is enough interest, I will detail the virtual Huskers romp through the 2007 season.
  6. Went ahead and booked at the Springhill Suites in West Greensboro. Only 25 minutes from Wake Forest Campus and all the parties. About $100/night. Best deal I could find. As stated in prior post, hotels are filling fast. Springhill Suites are very nice hotels - I stay at them for business all the time. They still have rooms available. Here is the link to the hotel's main website. Hope this info helps! http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/gsosh
  7. Has anyone found a good Wake Forest football Message Board? We are headed out for the game and I would like to chat it up with some of their fans before we arrive. Any and all info is greatly appreciated - Thanks!
  8. Only 4 in our group, and haven't picked a hotel yet. I was just on marriot.com and looks like the first 5 hotels closest to Winston Salem are SOLD OUT already. Probably going to have to stay closer to Greensboro (only 25 miles away). But that sounds to me like the BIG RED ARMY is on the march to NC!

If your looking for something to do Sunday night, the Dallas Stars are playing their annual new years eve game against their divison rival, San Jose. Game starts at 7:30 and tickets can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/ylst3z . Also the Dallas Mavericks are playing on Tuesday the 2nd against Seattle. Enjoy your time in Texas... THANKS for the info Hookem! VERY much appreciated!
  10. Thanks for the support Hookem - will be good to see 'Horns & 'Aggies at the game pulling for Nebraksa (the Big 12). Our group will be arriving in Dallas on Saturday early afternoon (coming from Kansas City). Any suggestions on a good "Texas" Sports Bar to watch the 'Horns demolish the Hawkeyes? We want to wear our RED and go cheer for the Big 12 at a big Texas Fan Bar. Any and all sugestions are welcomed - Thanks! PS. Will you guys actually chant "GO BIG RED", or will it be "GO BIG TWELVE"? HA
  11. A bunch of us are heading to Dallas on Saturday. There seem to be tons of good tickets still available, so come on FANS - let's pack that place in RED! Hope to see a ton of you guys down there. Does anyone that is going down for the game know of any good New Year's Eve Events to check out in Dallas on Sunday night? Can any Texas or A&M fans on here suggest anything? THANKS!
  12. Still looking for a flag like this. And I finally found a picture of the one I want. Anyone know where/how to purchase a flag with this "Outlined N" Logo on it???
  13. Anyone needing tickets should check EBAY. We just bought 4 tickets on the 25 yard line for $65 each. Lots of decent tickets are out there. Hope to see TONS of RED in Dallas - GBR!
  14. Adding in Family & Friends from KC & NE in our group brings the running total to: 315
  15. Hopefully we can get in that early! We will have about 10 in our group. How many is everyone else bringing? It would be great to have a HB Tailgate at Arrowhead! Now we just need someone to confirm how early we can get in the parking lot. Can anyone help nail this down?
  16. Thought I would post the official Arrowhead Tailgating Overview direct from their website. Gates only open 3 1/2 hours prior to kickoff??? Not much of a tailgate. I have heard a rumor that they might open it earlier for the Big 12 Title Game. Has anyone heard anything on that? I sure would like to get out there before 3:30PM (7PM kickoff for the game). Frequently asked questions Parking $20 Gates open 3 1/2 hours prior to kickoff If a child is under the age of 2 they get in free. If they have had their 3rd birthday they require a ticket and a seat. Our handicap accessible seating is for wheelchair bound fans only. This section will have space for one (1) wheelchair and a folding chair for an attendant to sit with them. Handicap reserved seating can be purchased through Ticketmaster at (816) 931-3330 or via the Internet at ticketmaster.com. If the handicap person has already purchased a ticket to the game they can go to the first come first serve handicap accessible seating in the West Endzone.
  17. I was lucky enough to be sitting about 20 feet from that corner of the end zone (we had 5 yard line seats, 4 rows up from the field - jealous? HA) I heard him yell it clear as day - it fired me up - bad word, but AWESOME moment to be right there and watch him mow over that little D-back, score, then yell. Awesome! PS. As a sidenote, I feel that everyone should attend a game at Kyle Field. Absoluting incredible environment. I will post a full review of our Fri - Sun in College Station visit later today. Highly recommend going if you ever get the chance.
  18. I think bestofthebigred.com has DVDs of all games going back a few years. Try there - good luck!
  19. Great overview - Thanks! On the tailgating - are there any issues with walking around the parking lots with beer and other drinks? Some places I have been are a littel touchy about sitting behind your car and cracking a few before kickoff. If you know, please confirm whether or not "public drinking" is an issue around the stadium in the parking lots. Thank you!
  20. I live in KC and have been to Arrowhead many times. It really is true that there is not a bad seat in the house. Everyone buy up all the tickets before those damn 'Horn fans get any - HA! I already bought a block of 12 - we have a big group going. Now as long as we don't blow it somehow and miss the Championship game............... GO BIG RED!!!
  21. Hey AgMarauder04 - seen you on here a few times lately. Hoping you can answer some questions. A group of us is headed down from Kansas City for the game. We will be arriving in College Station on Friday about lunchtime. We have never been down there, and want to make sure we get the "whole experience". We are planning on checking out the Bush Presidential Library, the Bonfire Memorial, and of course attend the midnight Yell Practice. Anything else we should check out on Friday? For Saturday, we are wondering if there is a recommended spot to park early and tailgate from like 9AM to gametime? Or is the area around the stadium not good for something like that? And is it worth touring the "Zone" and/or the mascot memorial? Or can we catch that stuff walking into the game? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated! We are really looking forward to the trip down there. Thanks! PS. I know this looks like it should be a PM, but if anyone else reading this has suggestions and/or is also going down and would like to meet up for a beer or something, let me know.
  22. Thanks for the update! One other player I was wondering about was Jordan Adams. Anyone remember him? He was a hotshot QB Juco transfer from California that joined the team in 2004. Was supposed to be pretty good, but he got mono & then had his spleen removed. Was out for all of 2004. I think he was on the roster last year, but don't think he is with us anymore. Watching Zac get beat up the last few weeks has had me thinking about our backup QB situation............... We are 1 play away from putting Ganz out there. Unless Hildebrand is coming along? That guy is supposed to have some skills.
  23. The 2nd one is it (except the red outline of the main "N" is much thicker than your example). Thanks for the visual aid!
  24. They looked totally lost the entire game. Good thing we got those 2 early turnovers or OSU could have hung 50 on us today. I can't decide if it is an emotional hangover from the Texas game, or if these guys are just that up and down. It must be the gameplan by Cos as well. No way the same group of guys can look so different from game to game - sometimes great, sometimes terrible - there seems to be no middle ground with the Blackshirts.
  25. Not knocking Jordan here - he is the best we have, and overall has not been bad (except the lack of depth on kickoffs). I am curious what ever happened to David Dyches. Remember him? Fresh faced kid who made quite a few kicks as a true freshman back in 2004. I know he was on the team last year (I think he even kicked a FG or two), but I haven't seen/heard anything about him this year. Did he transfer?
