I am trying to remember any more good hits, still thinking.........can't think anymore. Brandenburgs hits vs Michigan last year were great. So was the hits by Rigoni and someone else on their punt returner, even though a BS penalty was called It was Shanle who had those 2 big hits in the Michigan game last year on the punt returns. Both great plays, but I think that was the last time he brought the wood to anyone..................

Yep Guys, that is it (except reversed like you described). It must be sold somewhere, because I first saw one flying on ESPN GameDay when we were at Notre Dame in 2000. Have seen them around at various games since then. And just this year, out at USC, we saw one flying in the crowd. Thanks for all the help looking around. No winners yet, but I appreciate it guys!

Good question Blackshirt - actually there is a white block N, then a red outline (blends with the flag background), and then a white outline. So the white outline is "away" from the white N. I will try and find a game picture or other university photo that shows it, and post it here. A very cool flag, but must be a special University-only type of thing. It is hard to describe, but if any of you saw it, you would know what I am talking about. Thanks to all who are trying to help!

I know this is a weird question, but I am needing to find a Nebraska Flag for a Christmas gift. Not the regular red flag with the white "N" on it. I am needing the Red Flag with a White "N" that is OUTLINED in white. It is the regular solid white block Nebraska "N", but it has another white outline around the "N" in white. I have seen it waving in the crowd on ESPN Gameday, and our Cheerleaders have a big one they bring out after scores, but I have never seen one in any store or anywhere online. I also have an old "Nebraska Tradition" poster that has all kinds of awards & trophies & rings laying on a big red flag with a white block N that is outlined in white. So I know they exist, but they are hard to find. Anyone have a clue where to find one of these? My Dad has been looking for years. I want to get him one for Christmas. Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks

Anyone know what that new song was that they were playing before a few of the kickoffs? It really had everyone jumping around and was better than the old & tired "Start Me Up". Guy sitting behind me thought it was The Blue Man Group, or a "Club Mix" of an old Jackson 5 song?????? If anyone knows, please reply - I liked it, and want to pick it up from iTunes if possible. Thanks to all for making this a fun thread. It was great to see this board so united. The problem is that now I have to leave the BEAT TEXAS avatar up until we clean their clock in KC on Dec 2nd. So who is "N" this time? I am so sick of losing to Texas that I have to leave it up. I can't wait for the rematch!!!

Great post Jays - thanks for sharing your thoughts. Hopefully Carr will add at least a couple more plays to get your playbook total up to double-digits - HA I am rooting hard for Big Blue against OSU. I have heard about, and experienced what a bunch of :asshat 's their fans are. Most of us think of Oklahoma or Colorado fans as the worst, but I tell ya - OSU has them beat. GO BIG BLUE!

Glad you had a great time! A group of us is going to be down in College Station for the game on 11/11. I can't wait to experience that atmosphere (and a Husker Victory of course - HA). Besides arriving early to watch the cadets as you mentioned, what else would you suggest we try to experience? We plan on checking out the Yell Practice (Friday night?), and also interested if anyone knows the best place to park and tailgate?

I've been going to home & road games since I was a kid, and the time from Lucky's TD pass up to the fumble, was the MOST electric environment I have ever experienced. Better than '92 or '94 CU (didn't think that was possible). Complete strangers hugging and hi-fiving and screaming. And then the snow starts falling pretty heavy. EVERYONE is jumping up and down for the kickoff. The 'Shirts get a huge 3 and out. The Big Red "O" looks to have a first down to seal the win, and then................................. But man - that 10 minutes or so was absolutely amazing!!!

I'll add to the kudos - the Fans were GREAT! Very very loud almost the entire game. I can't even talk tonight, my voice will be gone for a day or two. Well worth sitting out in the cold & wet to be a part of it. AMAZING Atmosphere in the stadium today!

I was at the last game in Lincoln when the posts came down. CU '94 = loudest game I have ever been at. Crowd was juiced the whole game. We took 'em down after that big win, but if we beat the Horns, do we rush the field and take them down? I am torn. The new BC regime deserves a field rush (I can see Steve Pederson leading the charge yelling "I told you so" - HA), but my opinion is that we are a class act. Like Osborne always said, "Act like you've been there before." Iowa State takes downs the posts, Missouri takes down the posts, we are NEBRASKA. so...................................... DON'T TOUCH THE POSTS!!!

My buddy did not come up with the 8 tix he was promising our group. He only got 4, so have a large group trip planned up to Lincoln from Kansas City and we are 4 tickets short. I agree with ya. I think Cally was "saving" Kenny Wilson for Texas. Best blend of power & speed out of our Quadzilla I-Back.

Or at least roll it back out for halftime. It was made to cover the hole left by the band when they are on the field playing, so why not roll it out at halftime? Anyone know what they do with that thing after they "fold" it up?

The loudest game I have ever been at was 1994 against Colorado. And that was a 10:30AM kickoff! I don't remember why it was so damn early, but I remember leaving to drive to Lincoln at 4:30AM that morning to tailgate. Even with the early kick the crowd was AMAZING that day - Good times!

The "POWER OF RED" Banner is VERY cool! I wish there was a way to keep it up longer, but where the heck would you put it?

I've been fortunate enough to not have to experience Jim Rose's Radio calls since he came on board. The games have either been on TV, or I have been lucky enough to score tickets and go see the games. Is he really that bad? I have never heard anything good at all about the guy. How has he kept his job this whole time? Also to comment on the KSU student section - it is big and loud (I was at the game Sat night, and also in '02 & '04), but once Lucky scored to put us up 21 - 0, they quieted down quite a bit and a few even started to leave. So yes, they are loud and spirited, but once things look bad for the Mildcats, they are not very supportive. At least our Students stay for the whole game! On another note - the "Harley Night" thing they did before kickoff was pretty cool. Talk about LOUD! Having 100+ Harley' all revving up in the stadium was something to hear. Cally had about 50 Lincoln Harley riders to practice last Thursday - maybe someone should look into having a Harley Day at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. It would be awesome to do the "Husker Power" cheer, then have 100+ bikes revving it up, and then go right into the Tunnel Walk! You want to talk about some pre-game noise Baby!!!

The students wearing all Black would/will be cool (hope it happens), but the rest of us need to "Wear Red, Be Loud"! It would be really cool if the Students could coordinate a big black (or concentrated Red) square with a White "N" in the middle. Much like Penn State does in their student section. Has anyone watched a PSU game lately? Their student section is the best in the country - they all wear white, then have a dark blue square with an S in the middle. Easy to see on TV and it looks great. Maybe our Students can come up with something like that using the B****** theme???
