Does anybody know if there are any grade concerns with Jason. I would explode if we lost this guy to academics.
-
I would have to say SUH. 2.5 sacks, 12 tackles, and a receiving td.....wow
-
I think mike minter would be an excellent secodary coach.
-
It was a joke. He told a joke. People laughed. False alarm.
Thank you. HA HA

This might be a concern
-
I'm going to say phillip dillard. He'll finally be 100%, and he should dominate the middle linbacking spot.

The 2007 stats weren't up yet.
Looks like LSU was already a top ten defense before Bo got there. He maintained an already good D.
thanks a lot guys

I was just wondering how LSU's defense was like before bo pelini came in three years ago. It will be interesting to see how they improved once pelini got there.

1620. Those guys are hillarious

SDSU?

is the show anywhere on the internet. I'm up here in brookings, SD!!

Thanks for the insight

I thought I heard something about the first Bo Pelini show being shown this Sunday. Can anyone confirm or know what time?

I figured with all this head coaching talk, it would be a good discussion of what YOU THE FAN would accept for a coach at Nebraska? Here's my list of what I would expect a coach to do here to keep the fans patient and consider him successful...
1. competes in ALMOST every game. (May have a blowout everyonce in a while, it happens!)
2. Wins at least 8-9 games a year, 7 or 6 wins can happen but not 3 - 4 years in a row. (Consistency is the key, as it was with TO)
3. Compete for Big 12 north every year. Not necessarily win but be in the conversation at least, or make a shake up by a big win.
4. If having a down year, compete in most the games. It could be because of mediocre players and talent but that's when coaching ability shines and give the players a chance to compete and win when they aren't expected to.
5. Never have players act like they don't care. Demand the best effort of all players at all times and preach that emotion and passion is key to this game (Which it is).
Those are my thoughts, I'd like to here any other stipulations for what you think makes a coach successful.
I don't think nebraska has a reason to ever get blown out. I expect nebraska to win atleast 9-10 games a year.

The concern with Pelini, for most, is not his inability to recruit, but his ability to be an incredible a-hole.
what has he done?

This is my first post here. Please don't start hating me before you completly hear me out.
I am thinking about all this Husker crap. I am not a Husker hater. I really enjoy rooting the football team on. I attended UNL. I don't understand why this team is treated like a pro team with the fans and all over the news. A lot of the people who are bitching about everything over in Lincoln never even attended the school! Why does the status of the situation in the Athletics Department throw the entire state in an uproar and take over the entire 5 o'clock news and after?
I have lived in Seattle, Washington (where there are a few college teams and a pro team). Even a change in the Seahawks staff would not break into regular television to make an announcement. It would come on the news. Maybe if some of the people in this town lived anywhere but in the little Husker bubble; they would understand the insanity of their Husker crap they spew on everyone in the state. It's ridiculous! People, travel there is a whole new world out there to experience!
These college football players in Lincoln are about 18-22 years old! They are not professional football players. They are not getting paid money! They are playing a sport they love and some are getting some or all of their education in return. THAT'S IT! They are kids! It is not life and death in Nebraska.
If anyone says that "T.O." is going to save the team and get "us" (I have never quite figured out which us and we fans are talking about) back on track I will vomit on them. This 3 ring circus needs to stop! Don't people remember there is military occupation in Iraq or that genocide is being committed in Darfur? Homeowners are losing there houses everyday in the US because of the housing burst. Hello???? U.S. military soldiers are dying and they aren't even shown on the news enough. People, if you are listening, move on! There are primaries and an election for a new president coming up. Maybe if Husker fans knew as much about the presidential candidates as they knew about Husker players and staff, George Bush would not be in office! (Even though Al Gore won the popular vote!)
great stuff

what kind of offense was watson running at colorado?
-
I just hope osborne doesn't keep Callahan for one more year
-
why do you say leavitt won't leave South Florida?
-
I don't know spefically, but I want a defensive guy, and just runs a simple offense and an aggresive defense.
Jim leavitt from south florida is a defensive minded guy with ties to big twelve schools. He has done an amazing job at usf. The more i learn about this guy, the more i like him.
-
yay. I would be a nightmare if callahan was still here next year.
-
After this I cannot see how you can keep this staff money or not. Should we start discussing potential coaches?
Yes...who do you think...
T. Gill?
A different upstart coach from a Mid-major?
T. Bowden?
Another NFL type coach?
I don't think turner has enough experience and I think T Bowden would be interesting, but under no circumstance do you bring in a NFL coach.
I would love to see boise stae's chris peterson as our new head coach
-
nebraska 35
osu 28
rushing 200 yards
passing 330 yards
-
Just wondering what qualities you look for in a head coach.
For me the top three qualities are
1. The ability to get his players to play with everything they've got, and maximize players talent
2. The ability to stay cool under pressure
3. The ability to recruit well. Not necessarily high profile guys, just guys that play with heart.
discuss,
